Fixed yet another lawn mower that had a broken brake cable. I would recommend this to any other DIYer to fix their broken cable. Great value for the price and well made. I forgot if I bought this to fix one of my own mowers or a neighbors but I would buy again if needed

I bought a reproduction at a local chain and it last 10 minutes. Luckily, I was able to return it. Then I found this part. --Go with original parts--they are not much more money. I installed this months ago and it is working perfectly.

Looked up the part number to replace the safety cable on my Troy Bilt push mower, and this was the part number. Installed in just a few minutes, fit perfectly. It did not come with the tie-wraps to secure it to the mower handle bars, I had to use my own, that's the reason for the 4-stars.

It took longer to open the bag it came in than to install on my mower. Perfect fit, no issues, I added some zip ties to hold it to the handle of the mower. My mower runs like new again.

I've got an old MTD mower and the cut off cable had rusted in two. This one was nearly an exact fit for the other one. Installation was easy, hard part was removing the rusty old one! Installed this and the mower fired up right away.

I searched all over to find the right cable for my mower. I ended up ordering this one even though it looked different that the original. It fit perfectly and was easier to install than the old one was to remove.

Easy install - OEM quality part. Original one on my Troy Built self propelled walk behind mower (TB 280 ES) just got rusty from neglect and cable snapped. The kids use the mower for cutting neighbors lawns. The original cable had endured some 1500 individual lawn mowings before it broke. All things considered, it did its job and it seems the replacement should be up to the task as well. I am thankful it was easy to find on amazon and not expensive.
