Tho I think this piece of plastic serves a great purpose, it is grossly overpriced. Really, it shouldn't cost more than 5.00. If the copyright laws allow it, it would be great opportunity for someone to manufacture this half funnel and still make a good profit. Regarding the functionality of this device, what it does is funnels old oil from the outlet at the bottom of the engine with very little spillage of dirty oil. I have used other funnels I made of plastic placemats, tinfoil etc. that are somewhat functionsl but ened up with a lot more oil spillage than I cared to deal with. But this device fits right under the hole where the oil comes out. The use of it makes changing oil a breeze.

Fits well enough under the oil drain plug of a Craftsman LT2000 riding mower. But some oil will still manage to seep under this plastic guide -- even with the opposite side of the mower jacked up a bit.Still, glad I bought this. Draining the oil without this drain sleeve would have been much messier.Next time I'll try putting down a piece of aluminum foil before positioning this drain sleeve.

I use to have one of these for my Lawn Chief 440 Lawn Tractor but I lost it.. Found out this MTD part came with some MTD mowers. I had been searching for this for years and finally found it. Works great to change oil.

Fits perfect and does its job. Much easier to change the oil with this part in place. Tried making my own with funnels and pvc pipe and nothing worked as well as this.
