This dryer was for my 2004 F150 Lariat 4x4, 5.4 3V.The dryer arrived quickly and was packed well. It's Ford OEM and fit perfectly the first time. No leaks and works great! Now I have cold AC and icicles hanging off my nose again!Getting the hose off the evaporator was a bit of a fight so make sure you have a good set of those special tools to separate the AC lines. Oh and be careful removing that large black safety clip that goes over the AC line connection. As with most of Ford's special plastic doo-hickey clips - they often break easily especially when they are old. There are 2 little tabs you need to press down (1 on each side) while you are pushing that clip off. Even if you break it completely - don't fear. They are cheap and available from a Ford dealer or maybe an AC shop (part # 19E746, 5/8").Thank you!

I had tried an imported (Far East) receiver before and it was cracked and had cheap o-rings. This one was about $30 more but I only had to do it once, which would have saved me a couple of C-notes if I'd got this one first - my bad. Look, if you're going to do this project you probably are replacing some lines, orifice, compressor and/or the condenser coil. Make sure you flush the evaporator and all lines (with the old orifice or TXV removed), replace all o-rings. No mater who you are, you can do this yourself. Just get all your parts in advance (including flush kit, oil and refrigerant), take your time, even if it takes a few day, and rent or buy a vacuum pump and gages. Pull a vacuum for a couple of hours (this gets the moisture out of the system) and test (for vacuum hold) over night, if possible. You'll be happy with the outcome and feel like a boss for saving all that money.
