broke after the 1st 5 miles on a Honda CM400. This is the 2nd motion pro i have bought the 1st was on another site, but they have both snapped after about 5-7 miles.

I ordered this as a replacement cable for a 1978 Honda CB400TII. I had no issues with the product itself (reflected in the rating), appears to be of good quality and it was shipped properly. Unfortunately, the cable did not fit, despite the indication from Amazon and the part number being correct for the year and model. The capped end of the cable in contact with the clutch actuator is too long/not tapered and does not slip inside the housing. The cable is also about 1-1.5” longer than the cable that was being replaced. Just as a heads up if you are looking for a replacement for a CB400T that will fit correctly right out of the box.

Had to get a little creative with the installation as the cable is slightly too long, but it works. This is my second time ordering this cable and the last one lasted about 4 years before it need to be replaced. I should also mention that I ride year round, >150 miles a week.

Like another reviewer said, it is a tight fit but I wouldn't want it loose. Mine didn't take any grinding but was very snug. It just barely fit with both ends loosened all the way but that is great because as the cable stretches you have lots of room to keep it adjusted correctly. Been riding with it about 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier.Update: Been 2 1/2 years now and still going strong.

Cable did not fit into clutch perch fitting … had to grind it off to make it fit my Honda Cm400t . It works but not ideal.

It fits and does what its supposed to do. It looks like it should hold up as well as the original.
