Bought these to replace the Detroit axle that went out after 5 years. Gave 4 stars because it hasn't surpassed detroit..... yet

Seems to be a nice quality part. The items I received were made in USA. I saw the same exact item on ebay. I enlatged the ebay ad photo and the box stated made in China. I saw the Amazon item was made in USA, so I purchased it. So sick of the inferior China parts, glad to find a made in USA part.

Worst product ever! Came to me in a huge box 18”x18” box. Box was ok but inside the box, the ball joints were rolling around outside of the packaging ( the MOOG boxes ) I looked them over and they seemed to be good boots were good nothing was stripped.Fast forward to install... grease zerks were a pain to put in and the one side didn’t even come with a dang nut!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally installed. About 1200 miles and 3 weeks.. dang things are squeaking and the boot is ripped out. I will never buy from them again absolutely the worst.

Exactly as expected, put on my ram 1500. Ordered 2 ball joints, both came in good condition and no issues. Both pressed right in, attached, everything you need parts wise for the ball joints came with it. Instructions were easy to follow. Hopefully I won't need to replace ball joints again on my ram 1500 but if I do, it'll be MOOG. Ride is good and better than before and steering is a little tighter than before.

I like the Moog line of products itself, always quality products would have given 5 stars but there is a manufacturer defect on the rubber boot which I do not think it will affect the the intended use of the product.

A local "stealership" wanted over $2K to change upper and lower ball joints along with inner and outer tie rod ends on my girlfriend's 2007 Dodge Ram with 130K on the odometer and original suspension parts. We did it ourselves in a day for around $265 in parts. It was more work removing the factory ball joints than installing the new MOOG parts but it went well. I like the grease fittings that come with the MOOG parts and if the truck runs another 100K before needing replacements then I'll be a very pleased. I have an OTC ball joint installation tool that I bought from Amazon a few years ago that worked quite well but I had to use a cut off wheel to remove most of the "stud" on the factory ball joints to get enough clearance inside the tool. A torque wrench is a must for this job too along with a large socket for the nut that secures the axles to the knuckle/wheel bearing.
