  • REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD -- Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads; heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency
  • CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life
  • IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade

Ideal for light trucks that that tow or carry varying loads, Monroe load adjusting shocks include a heavy gauge calibrated spring that adjusts to road and weight conditions to provide extra control when operating conditions get more demanding.

I installed the on a 2004 Chevy Silverado LT CrewCab 4wd, the only issue was lining up lower eyelets to the brackets, alls it takes is to jack the frame of truck up high enough to thread bolt in place, ride is nice and should handle the weight. Fitment was perfect.

So I added these to my 05 Silverado SS. Took a Little to put on due to the SS siting lower than a normal Silverado but once these were on it made a world of a difference when towing. I towed a 7 x 14ft enclosed trailer no problem. Moved from Cali to Texas and had no issues the whole way. The shocks helped because even after putting shocks that were ment for the SS, they would bottom out so I needed something a Lil more stiffer and these kept me from sagging.

These shocks are working out great so far. These are replacing some cheap Gabriel brand shocks that failed in about a year. This truck has a plow mounted on the front, so I wanted some additional support in the rear when the bed gets loaded up to balance the weight on the front.Install took about 45 minutes, it's just two bolts on each shock. The most difficult part will be breaking loose the bolts if they have never been serviced before. I started with the rear axle in the air, but had to lower the truck down some to line them up, pretty straightforward all said and done. Although every truck will be slightly different with varying leaf springs and suspension setups.Immediately after install I measured the rear about 7/8" higher, and loaded up 500 pounds of sand bags in the very rear of the bed, behind the rear axle. The truck barely dropped, and drives great. Really impressed with these so far, and the shocks themselves feel like much better quality than standard aftermarket OEM replacements. Only thing to note, make sure the springs are seated correctly before installing, and maybe pump the shocks a few times before installing. Mine must've got knocked pretty good during shipping and were laying on the side, so it's a good idea to make sure the oil inside is flowing and the springs are seated properly. They arrived undamaged though. We'll see how they hold up through the winter, handling the cold, salt and constant weight in the bed. These seem like a very good, relatively inexpensive upgrade to make if you haul any weight in the bed or trailers at all. Especially if you are replacing shocks anyway, these are really only a few bucks more than standard replacements. Overall I'm happy and will be considering these for other trucks if they hold up well, and I have no reason to think they won't!

Very easy to install. I jacked up the rear under my hitch with the safety of jack stands. You do not need to remove your wheels for this product install. Nor will you need to remove the spare under the bed of the pickup. If you are installing on a GMT800 model truck (99-06 Sierra, Silverado or SUV models) The bolt and nut size is 21mm. Recommend using wd40 on the bolts before removing. I used a 21mm wrench and 21mm socket on a hand ratchet. Very easy to remove old shocks and install new ones. You will not need to compress the new shock absorber if you jack the rear by the hitch and not the axle. Be sure to chalk the wheels and use the proper jack stands. You want the rear just high enough to where the tire could start to leave the ground if jacked any higher. This is why it is very important to use chalks and jack stands in collaboration. New shocks slip right into place. I recommend placing bolt and securing the top end of the shock before installing the bottom. (It makes it simpler trust me). Do not fully tighten one end of the shock before installing both bolts into both ends this allows better movement. Once both bolts are slipped through you can then ratchet the nuts tight in combination with a wrench. This product does not come with any new bolts or nuts so you need to reuse your old ones or find an appropriate replacement at the hardware store or auto parts store. Tighten securely. Use a torque wrench if it suits your fancy. You will notice it will increase the rear an inch or so more. Very good quality and product is made in USA. Very happy with the ride.

Helped my 525000km suspension to get from 36 inches to flare to 37 1/2 inch. Works great and rides really nice compared to my blown out shock. Doesn’t seem to be much firmer then stock shocks.

This shock did exactly what i wanted it to do, I tow a 20 ft trailer and was experiencing rear end sag with my 02 Silverado 1500, these shocks took care of it, I was able to remove the Helwig helper springs which I hated. The ride is actually comfortable, not real stiff. The installation is a little tricky since they are longer than the stock shocks. you have to compress the springs on the shock to get the length you need to install them, not a big deal as long as you are careful and use common sense. They Raised the rear of the truck about an inch which is fine. Overall a good product at a good price.
