The compact size is ideal if you don’t have a large desk. The only issue I am having is getting the speakers to work. The headset works fine, but not the speakers. Still trying to figure out how to add the additional memory and storage chips to the unit. I’m

Originally, I had purchased this system but it failed to power on after 4-5 months (it may have been a power surge at the house). I thought I was SOL, but support was quick to ship me another unit once they received my old one. I appreciate them coming through and getting me a new unit, you rock!

I purchased this for a friend who wanted me to build him a cheap and simple home office pc.I told him that was a thing of the past and these mini PC's are all the rave at the moment. They use minimal power so are cheap to run, are very powerful, and almost completely silent. Plus they can do everything a full sized PC can do.6 months later, he keeps telling me how good it's been. We're very happy with this Minisforum UN1265 Mini PC

I really like these units, bought 5 of them and boosted them to 64 GB RAM each for my proxmox cluster, perfect home lab !NVME that comes with them is fine, roughly 5GB/s but i soon replaced them with 7.5G / s.Sata adapter also provided and works fine got 550MB/s with samsung drives.I get 1GB/s from external NVME connected to front USB-C and 283MB/s in Linux tranfers over the native 2.5GBE ethernet. They got two making them perfect for proxmox. The heat sink for the NVME provided as well, wifi 6 (i removed them) and once correctly installed, very acceptable thermal management (need to install them vertically on laptop stand with power button on top)

It arrived on time, a first for Amazon in my experience. The packaging for the unit is extremely nice, reminds me unboxing of an apple product. Once plugged in, everything was up and running in minutes.

I needed a new pc and I needed it fast. I had very specific specs in mind and when I was shopping the major brands, they were all out of my price range. I was leery of this mini-pc because it cost less than half the price of the others that I was looking at with identical specs, but I was desperate, so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. I haven't had even one complaint since I got it over a month ago. It's quiet, its fast and it looks great on my desk.

The MINISFORUM NAB9 comes with a 12900HK, and i ordered a barebones unit, selected my own memory and storage for it, and let it run. The storage device I selected to go in this unit came with its own heat sink which was only marginally larger than the heat sink provided for the SSD in the box, and had a hard time installing it. I was able to remove the top "ring" of the PC where the lid latches down to and did get it in. I was concerned about breaking off clips to do this, but everything held up and went together nicely. It supports a Gen 4 NVME SSD and these traditionally require a lot of cooling, so the fastest most advanced SSD might not pair well with this system. If you select one that's more tempered for a small format, lighter use machine, than it should fit into the top and install just fine. NVME screws were pre-installed...a wise choice considering how small they are. This machine is snappy, and can game a little bit, but no one is expecting the moon from integrated graphics, and this isn't a dedicated gaming rig, obviously. I was impressed by how snappy it was, and how well it handles other lighter tasks as long as you don't load it down. When you throw a synthetic benchmark at it, it runs HARD into its power limit, and CUTS ALL power from the P-cores, throttling them back to 400mhz, leaving only the E-cores to finish the benchmark. I've noted that during this benchmark, the cooling is well under control, about 20 degrees under TJMax, so the liquid metal used as the thermal interface and the heat sinks/fan are definitely putting in work. To the manufacturer, the PC can handle whatever everyday task you are going to throw at it with ease, and will stay snappy, and I think that's the point. But if you're going to put a 12900HK, a top tier laptop CPU into this, you might want to ensure, both the power brick, and any power delivery systems on the mainboard are up to the task so it doesn't peter out on you under load. The other issue i Had was trying to find a working MediaTek driver that would allow the Bluetooth functions to operate. I got it working, but through unconventional means from an Asus product site. MINISFORUM needs to hit up MediaTek for better driver support, or change the Wi-Fi module in the U.2 slot to another manufacturer that has better driver support.Besides the performance, this was easy to install the additional components, features an additional spot for an SSD on the lid, has a VESA mount to hang this to the back of a monitor and hide it, and has TWO 2.5G NIC's installed. It has USB-C in two places, with display support, and it can handle FOUR displays if you want, and has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. My only remaining concern is how long this product will last before things start giving out.

This product worked great for around 3 months. It stopped working, and customer support was initially responsive. It happens, things stop working. No big issue.Once I mailed the item back to their warehouse, which was to a personal residence - support went silent. To-date, I have not heard back after multiple emails and phone calls to their support team. If the product gets replaced, I will update this status.

I was upgrading from an 10+ year-old windows 10 laptop. I was advised by reddit folks not to clone my windows 10 machine and just install the apps all over again. I'm glad I followed their advice. I was easy to pull the drive out of the old laptop and mount it inside the NAB9. I move the data files I wanted from the old SATA drive the new drives.I still can't believe the smooth this process has gone! Hope for many years of continued happiness with this new device!

Update:Support contacted me asking me to buy a cmos battery. I bought the battery, and they sent me a video on how to install it. Really easy 8 screws and video is good enough that I had no questions. Changed out the battery and plugged it in. Working well again. I have some concerns with the quality of the previous CMOS battery that died after only 90 days. But happy it is back up and working. Support might take a couple days to get to you but they are good one they do.Update:Now will not power on anymore.Update:I was contacted by support shortly after writing the review. They offered to replace the unit and assured me that my experience with the previous NAB 9 was not the standard. They sent me a replacement unit and it set up with no issues and is more quite than my nuc 13 i71360P. I am impressed with the overall performance. Nex I will get proxmox setup and put it under load.I bought this computer as a home lab computer to run some proxmox VM. I received the computer and it was boxed really well. I plugged it in and the fan immediately started at 100% I figured maybe that is something that happens during set up. I got the windows 11 set up but the fan stayed at 100%. I went into the bios and looked at the fan settings and they were set to automatic. The processor temperatures were not very high. I went to the manufacture website to see if there were bios or chip updates that might fix the issue I found none.
