If you ever had a problem airing up you inside dual on a 1ton truck, this is the ticket! I found the instead of lining up the holes in the rims,, to rotate the outside rim 1 stud hole. That way the hose doesn't get twisted in a loop. Works great.

This thing will rip your rubber valves in a short period. If you insyall this, use a metal valve nothing flex

Well made and sturdy. A little longer than I needed but I was not sure how long I truly needed. These were used on the rear wheels of our 2000 Newmar Dutch Star on the Freightliner chassis.

When I purchased my Sprinter these extenders were already installed. I dont know who put them on but they were secured with Zip Ties along with the clamps. Within the first 500 miles I got a flat in one inside tire. When I went to the tire shop the mechanic showed me that the metal braided extender was worn clean through to the rubber creating the leak. I looked at many different extenders and these ones are the sturdiest if you dont want to have metal valves and tubes installed into your rims. I would advise checking the units for wear and proper routing every time you check your tire pressure. Just run your finger along the braided hose..if it is frayed your gonna know it.

I just installed this extension (s-400-6) so I don't know about long term reliability. Here is specific information: I installed this on a motorhome with standard dual tires (235/80/22.5). The length is perfect. The clamp fits on steel rims with no problem, but the bolt will need to be on the inside to clear the simulators (hubcaps) which makes it a little difficult to tighten. Per the label on the package the extension is 8 1/4" long and rated to 150 psi.

These are very sturdy valve extenders. I was really looking forward to not having to fish the extenders out from behind the outer wheel every time I wanted to check the pressure in my RV tires. This looked like the perfect solution...NOT. The U clamp that attaches the extender to the outer wheel places the stem end at an angle (90 degrees) that I can't get my long truck style pressure gauge and air chuck on the stem end due to the extension of the wheel hub. As I said the extenders are sturdy so I just took the U clamps off and used the spring guides from the old set to hold them in place (since these are longer they don't retreat behind the outer wheel when driving). Of course if you use more standard (care style) tools this probably won't be a problem but since my tires take 100 PSI+ I need to use the truck style tools for the pressure and to easily reach the inner wheel. Note: The only reason it's not a 5 star rating is because I couldn't use the U clamps. If they were adjustable as to angle it would have been a 5 star rating. YMMV

Very happy to find the stem extension that clamps on versus a simple ring. This is rugged and have had no problems with it. Works like a charm on our motor home.
