Have had for several months. Much more quiet than my old Shark cleaner, has equal or better suction and should anything go wrong, at least this one can be repaired or can get parts for it. Unlike my Shark.

We have a Golden Lab dog and an inside/outside cat. The amount of fur the dog generates is incredible! This vacuum cleaner has the suction and the power brush to eliminate all the dirt in the house. The ONLY complaint is that the cord is a little short. Other than that, it is well worth the money...AND it's QUIET!

I have had this Miele model for just over a year. I am a little underwhelmed, considering the reviews are so good.Pros: Very quiet, the only vacuum I've ever had that does not get the dogs excited! Lightweight and easy to move around, very nice when vacuuming stairs.Cons: The hardwood floor attachment (I use it on tile and linoleum) just pushes crumbs and pet hair around, it does not get into corners at all, the suction is only from the very center and that has to be positioned exactly over what you want it to pick up. Such a short cord I have to put an extension cord on it or it keeps needing to be plugged in again and again. The vacuum is very tippy, it's always rolling over like a dog. Finally, the bags are quite expensive. My husband takes them out into his shop and empties them with his shop vac just so we can reuse them a time or two.I have used a lot of vacuums over the years and have been just as impressed with Sears Kenmore canister models, for a much lower price. I have taken to getting our my old canister Kenmore to do my hard floors, the attachments are so much better designed. The Kenmores work forever, they just start making a whole lot of noise when they get more than a few years old. It remains to be seen if the Miele will remain so nicely quiet.

Long lasting (10-12 years- I am on my third one now ) great quality ,This models canister is small and light- wich is great, but brush and metal part is a little heavy to lift , but ones you get it on a carpet it moves and performs beautifully

I replaced an 10+ year old Dyson Animal with this wonderful vacuum. The powered brush head has rejuvenated 2 carpets so far, and the suction is quite unmatched.Nit picky complaints are the short cord, and that it's harder to maneuver than an upright container vacuum. There's a youtube video out there about using a backpack to turn this machine into a backpack-vac. Haven't done it yet but that would solve my maneuverability nit. And an extension cord solves the cord nit.

I have hardwood floors with area rugs, and this Miele does both easily.I had canister vacuums year ago (30-35) and wanted to go back to one again, as pushing an upright was getting to be too hard on my back. The canister is light, and rolls great over everything, goes easily over its cord, from the wood to the rug.The wood floor head is very low so it goes under furniture easily. Suction on carpet is not as good as I’d like, not as good as those old machines, but good enough for day-to-day. I have a dog, but she doesn’t shed much, so this is good enough. It would never be sufficient for other pets I’ve had.I was not impressed that the stair tool is air, not mechanically driven, but it works surprisingly well. The wand and has a nice range - can go really short so it’s comfy for my short self, or long enough so my short self can reach the ceiling. It’s very quiet, the lowest noise level of any vac I’ve used. And the bags are thick, nothing blows through them. All in all, happy with itI want to add that the product description that I bought showed only the vac and bags, the description said only that it came with the power driven carpet head, and the hardwood head, but it was only $800. So I was not expecting to get all of them, but I did. The listing that showed and mentioned all the small tools was $1200. Oddly the $1200 listing is the one that showed as shipped.

I didn't want to spend $700 on a vacuum. But I did. I have been a shark vacuum owner for years. The issue I had with my sharks is they lasted about 2 years and the hose would Crack and the vacuum would just start falling apart. I have 4 dogs and vacuum almost daily. The miele had held up well so far, but only time will tell. The suction is better than a shark, but it picks up a similar amount of hair. I wasn't thrilled about going back to a bagged vacuum, but this certainly doest better with dust and dander. I was cleaning the filters on my shark every 2 weeks. Overall, I like this vacuum. It will truly be worth the cost if it has longevity. Only time will tell, but it certainly feels very well built.

Love-Compact yet powerful-Small footprint, easy to store-Effective cleaningWhy the low rating- Totally ineffective at tamping down odorsOne of the big selling points on this for me was the "Active Air Clean Filter which helps reduce Odors and Pet Smells while Filtering the Air!" For a dedicated Dog and Cat vacuum I expected this to work, but after only the third vacuum of a very small 944 square foot living space with one skinny short-haired dog, the vacuum exhausts the dog smell to extreme. After vacuuming I have to burn scented candles for a few hours to get the super-heated dog smell out of the air.June 26, 2022 - Upgraded rating to 2 stars, still impressed with the cleaning power and easy to store design, but still very unimpressed with the filtration. For the first 1-2 uses after changing the bag and both filters, odors are okay, but from use 3 and on, ugh. I found a good way to conceal the odors this things puts off is by mopping the kitchen and bathroom immediately after vacuuming with Mr. Clean Pet Fresh to tamp down the smell. For what this machine costs it really should handle odors better, but (ironically) it would be a great sweeper for a household without pets.
