Exactly what I wanted. The steam adds to a freshly cooked meal. And the kids have more difficulty getting the microwave dirty

This is this is a very good product. It does stop the splattering all over the microwave. The rubber pad inside it stops the plate from moving around when trying to pick it up. It also helps when you need to steam something because you can add water to the top and it will steam better.

I absolutely love this thing!! We bought breakfast biscuits at a local Hardee’s and they were so old as my brothers used to say you could have played baseball with them. I decided to use these to put my microwave plate to the test! I put one biscuit in the plate with just a tiny amount of water in the lid and heated up my biscuit for 30 seconds and it was fresh as if it had just come out of the oven!! Works great!

This isn't a bad splatterguard and it's great for steaming. I mostly eat off dessert and lunch plates so it fits for most of what I want to use it with. The problem comes in when someone else wants to use a standard dinner plate which doesn't fit under the dome.It definitely adds utility to my kitchen and helps keep the microwave clean. We'll see how often we use it in the next few months to determine if it's a permanent addition.

I think this cover is trying to be too fancy for my needs. I need a simple cover that will fit my dinner plate and this isn't it.This cover comes with a plate, which might serve a purpose if you were using the steamer function, but that wasn't a selling point for me. I really want something that will cover the plate or bowl that already has my food on it. Unfortunately for me, the cover is too small, by about 3/4", to fit my dinner plate and setting on top of the plate is not a good solution for many things with sauces or other runnier components.I did try the steamer, but found it got coated with hard water residue after just a couple of uses and it was not easy to clean. Lastly, I thought the cover was a little flimsy for the price, but perhaps the cost accounts for the extra bottom tray and steamer that don't work for me. If you have small plates and want to add steam to your microwave perhaps this is for you. If you're like me and just want to reheat something on a standard dinner plate, perhaps look for another choice.

Made well and designed well.........except that it about an inch too small for a standard size dinner plate. Really? I'm 6'2" and never use a dessert plate for my dinners. Yes, I could place everything on their silicon pad - but, then I'd have to use tongs to remove all the hot things from the pad and place them on a dinner plate. Then, wash the insert, and rinse out the bottom spatter plate bottom.......as well as my dinner plate that the food was transferred to! Would be a heck of a lot easier to simply place everything on the dinner plate, and pop it into the splatter cover plate dish. No? I guess that it will be most useful for heating up a bowel of rice without having to drape a sopping wet paper towel over it. That's a plus!As another reviewer pointed out, having the water steamer compartment sealed is a very bad idea. Cleaning it out is going to be a super challenge. Even if mold was not an issue, the salts that are in tap water will adhere to the inside of the well when the water boils off. Am I supposed to periodically treat this with vinegar when I do my Keurig and Breville coffee machines? If not, it will be hard to tell if it is mold, or salts. My second to last pic shows that they could have made this a tad bigger so us "big guys" can enjoy a dinner/large plate being re-heated. It would still fit most microwave ovens. IMHO. Even the outside of the shipping box indicates the size of the microwave turning plate - but not the limited size of the meal plate. Strange.
