You don't get anything you don't need with this kit. The attachments are all very useful, and make cleaning tough objects like a fan super easy. I am not proud to say how long it's been since I last cleaned my fan, but let's be generous and say it had only accumulated 2 years of dust. I had zero moments of regret because it trapped everything! There were no giant dust globs falling off onto my face, the floor, the bed. I used the pokey thing to clean cobwebs off the ceiling. And it's not like I'm dirty, it's just there have been no efficient and worthwhile ways to clean THOSE things.The extender is great, and provides a length of reach that is hopefully all you may ever need.

I recently purchased a microfiber duster to reach my parents' 12' vaulted ceilings, and it only came with one attachment that couldn't be adjusted/bent in order to dust the ceiling fan blade tops. So I looked around for another long-handled duster with attachments, and I found this one. This definitely works exactly for what I needed it to. It comes with one attachment that goes completely around the fan blade - top and bottom - and it cleaned each blade beautifully! Of course, make sure you're not standing directly under the duster, and make sure your mouth is closed when you're dusting!Something else I really appreciate with this duster, is that the longer piece with the microfiber on it can be bent or adjusted to any shape you need. It's kind of hard to move back to the original straight shape it was, but that's totally fine because you still have one more attachment: A head with soft plastic prongs/'fingers' that can grab cobwebs and dust! I like this last attachment because the tip of the pole is hidden amongst the plastic 'fingers' and won't leave a streak on the wall/ceiling because of being exposed or scraping along as you dust. The long, straight microfiber attachment has that end of the pole protruding, so you can't really get into corners with it unless you bend the tip down. But at that point, you'd be better off using the plastic 'fingers' attachment.However you decide to use this duster, it's extremely versatile and has many options on how to use it and the attachments. I am very satisfied with this purchase and I know my parents will be too. Especially because it reaches those 12' ceilings and has extra length to spare!!

I am 5 feet tall and need a ladder whenever I clean fans and the corners of the ceiling. Now I don't need the ladder anymore! I can even reach the corners of our 14-foot high ceiling when I stand on tiptoe! I haven't been able to reach there even with my ladder, but I could finally remove those annoying cobwebs hanging from the high ceiling corners. Fans are now so easy to clean, too. I just use the ring duster and wipe the dust off. Some dust falls off the fan, but that's because I haven't cleaned it in a while. Now that it is so easy to clean, I can clean more often so the dust won't build up.One thing that I noticed was that when cleaning the ceiling, if you push it too hard against the ceiling, the handle shortens a bit, because it is not locked. But regardless, this is a great cleaning tools!

Great dusters for cleaning ceiling fans and high areas. The fan duster par that goes over the blade is really small and tight so it sticks sometimes which can be worrisome for the fans that are really high up. The pole gives a lot on those too. I am afraid it might get stuck on the blade and I'll have to rent a ladder to pull it off. I just have to go slow and wiggle it gently. I like that the pole extends really far but it is not heavy enough when fully extended to use on the fans. The spiky brush is good for cobwebs, corners and on high ledges and cabinet tops.

I am afraid of heights, so I dread having to get up on a ladder with a damp rag to clean the fan blades. Thanks to this microfiber duster, I don't have to get on a ladder for that chore anymore, nor do I have to jump up and down with a feather duster to get down cobwebs from the corners. This kit comes with a telescoping pole that you can attach any of the three duster heads to, and it reaches quite high. Definitely high enough for my household use. The three dusters include a long one good for top shelves, a short one good for cobwebs, and my favorite one, the loop one for the fan blades. You just run the loop shaped duster over each fan blade and voila: it is dusted. Two of the three duster heads are made of microfiber material that looks like Muppet fur. The short duster is made of plastic bristles. Very glad to have this tool.
