I am at the end of about three sets of these tires on a R1200RT and they are good enough for me. Never let me down when you have one of these hear-stopping moments when the front gets loose in a turn on a small patch of gravel. They recover smoothly with no hard kick to the high side. Of course, I wish they could last longer, especially the center band (no tire will ever get 5 stars), but for above-freezing temperatures I find them satisfying at semi-aggressive (not racing) speeds, and like the idea that they can do more if I ever need it, so much so, that I have no problem taking an unpaved road riding two-up with luggage (e.g.: on the dry rocky road up to Bodie, California, I told my passenger she might have to hitch a ride to go there, on the way back down, we were passing cars). Looking forward to the next version Michelin has started to roll out for the larger bikes, Gold Wings and such.

Great tires if you commute a lot they give you incredible grip when it's dry or wet I ride everyday as long as it's not snowing or 35 degrees out.I will say this these are not track tires or twisty tires trust me I knee drag around corners before I got these not so much now their slick when you first put them on like your riding on ice skates after 4-500 miles they start to break in and it goes away I highly recommend if you commute a lot and want a tire that will last 10-15k miles and I have them on my 13 CBR600RR

3 stars, only because you can probably get close to 14,000 miles on these beauties. So I had the PR2's (about 12k on them before i hit canvas+one run across the states) before, and before that I had some poor man's battleaxes that lasted about 6000 miles (much better grip of course), with respect to the bike that these are on.What can I say, I wanted to love these tires, but they need to be warm before they will hold you in the corners, and by warm, I mean you need to put heat in to them, or be riding on a fairly warm day ~80F+. Anything under 48F and the tires seem to hit their drop off, anything in between 50 and 65 and they come up to temperature and produce some stability/confidence. These tires are very hard, and when I installed them (in the winter), they felt properly dangerous in the wet around 30-40F. I did save it once on the ice with these tires, so kudos for that I guess. All in all I can say, if you live in a warm climate, or just want tires that will last forever and a day, these will be a good bet. Most riders do their thing when it's warm, I have been riding non stop for 8 years, and I don't recommend these tires, find a set that will last 6-8k miles, have fun with them, you will ride safer and with more confidence. Do not recommend you buy these tires for temps under 65+wet or 55, get some softer tires and enjoy life more.

These tires are the best I've ridden on so far. Expensive, but I'm not crying. My rear pirelli diabolo used to slide a bit on hard breaking or down shifting on my fz1. This one holds the road. Whether the tire is going to perform is taken out of the picture. I was even a little disappointed at first! Then I remembered my as* is on these tires and they're doing everything right. If I get 10k miles out of it like some say, I'll be a Michelin man.

I've ran through 3 sets of these, and I'm a loyal fan to the product because it really is just that good! I'm a hardcore riders, who you'll likely call crazy when you see me commuting to work in the snow on my Honda CBR F4i. These are the juggernaut of motorcycle tires in my opinion and the best all around performance you can buy. Great traction in the hot summer, plenty of grip on cold pavement in the fall and spring, and best off they're one of the top wet weather tires you can buy! I've ridden through the PA interstate in the heaviest rain I've ever seen, and me and my friend were flying by cars going 80 mph while everyone else had their hazards on and driving their cars under 50mph. And I felt rock solid comfortable moving at that speed without any fear the tire would fail me. I usually average around 14k on a set which is one full riding season for me in the NE. Buy a set, YOU WILL NOT BE UNHAPPY!!

Installed front and back Pilot Road 4's on my GSXR 750 and could not be any happier!! I will admit that I was skeptical about putting "touring" tires on my bike but they ride SO much better than your average compound tires! I would recommend these tires for any condition (rain or shine) because they grip very nice on wet roads. Not only that but they hold up very well on the twisties too!

I installed a set of Pilot Road 4 on my Suzuki GSR 600, replacing the my worn Pilot Road 3 set. I can honestly say its an improvement from the PR3. These PR4 tires are a little harder than the PR3 and seem to wear a little better. SURPRISINGLY, the traction has improved from the PR3, wet and dry. I know this because I leave all my friends I ride with in the dust in the mountain twisties. These tires give me so much confidence that I am a true believer that Michelin make the best motorcycle tires PERIOD. These tires are worth every penny...
