My 3-year-old daughter (currently a size 5T) is thrilled with her new mermaid float. The float is colorful and the design is crisp. The float is fairly stable owing to the thickness of the rubber constituting its primary structure and the width of its base. The tail acts as added flotation and support for the head when my daughter reaches back. Rigid handles provide additional support for added stability and maneuvering. The seat is well proportioned and the holes for the legs are big enough to easily slide into the tube, while being snug enough, once in the tube, to help my daughter stay upright. This tube takes a few minutes to inflate by mouth. A small inflation device would be helpful. Overall, this is a great float tube for my toddler.

I am SO impressed with the quality of this mermaid pool float! When I saw it, I thought it was just about the cutest little float I've ever seen and wanted to have it for my 16 month of granddaughter to use in our pool. With the weather being very warm, I talked Grandpa into taking our little "Mermaid" swimming in the pool before we brought her home to Mommy and Daddy after our play date. I blew up the mermaid float using my mouth and not a pump--I seriously considered hunting down the electric pump but was too lazily and figured it would be a good lung exercise for me. Lol... Thank goodness it was easy for me to blow up (and I really mean that because I was prepared to get lightheaded or wimp out if needed). So, after they took a few short introductory laps around the shallow end of the pool, her little "Mermaid Throne" was fully inflated--and she easily fit into it! The seat part is very comfy--it has just a touch of padding and she was so excited to be chauffeured around the pool by Grandpa, kicking her little legs. She hung on to the handle on one side, while splashing the water with her other hand. Sturdy handles!This Mermaid Pool Float would definitely fit the toddler range--12 months and over to (I predict) about age 3. Our granddaughter is tall and her weight I'm told is in the 38th percentile. There is plenty of room for her to grow in the pool float and she thoroughly enjoyed sitting in it and "swimming" and splashing and kicking about with her admirers cheering her on. SUPER CUTE item and excellent quality plastic--not flimsy! This would make an awesome gift for any Mermaid in training!!!
