It's hard to find good classic-looking skate shoes that are both affordable and well-made these days but these shoes are it. I used to skate back in the day and wore mostly Vans and Airwalks, but now I'm a middle-aged fat man who mostly just wears them for comfort and nostalgia. I'd seen this brand around but never tried them before but I'm really glad I did. I'm heavy now and not just any shoe will work for me but these hold up extremely well and are very comfortable for walking, even long distances. I'm rough on the soles and insoles of shoes because of my weight but these have held up very well so far and I've owned them for nearly a year. I usually have to replace factory insoles because they don't hold up for me but these were perfect right out of the box and have lasted. I also have a very wide foot and was worried that these didn't come in wide sizes, because even though skate shoes usually run wide, some brands still don't fit me well, but these fit better than some wide-sized shoes I've had. Plenty or room in the toebox and the footbed is well wide enough to support my foot and arch without pinching or overrunning. While I don't skate anymore and can't attest to their performance as skate shoes, I've no doubt they'd hold up pretty well, as the soles are well-made, the stitching is very strong, and the support they offer is very good. Even after a year of wear the soles are still firmly attached and barely worn. I'd pit them against any more expensive brands like Etnies and Lakai, especially for their price. I'll definitely buy more from this brand when these wear out.

Great shoe is very comfortable and took around a week to brake in the stiffness . Very sturdy allows me to ride better knowing my feet are protected , holds a great grip too and the material is easily wipeable as I have the white and black and already have spilled drinks and mud on them wiped right off . Goi g to grab another pair in a different color . Great shoe for wide fit as well ..

This is a fashionable skate shoe with just the right amount of padding, not to be too bulky. It has a thick gum sole, well bonded to the middle and upper. It has a replaceable foot bed insole. I am very happy with this purchase. I bought these skate shoes to be able to wear sneakers in the winter, the padding helps keep feet warm.

This review is for the SEW BY SOU Men's Skateboarding Shoes (Size - 9, Color - Paisley). I received a free taxable sample of these shoes to review in my search for skateboarding shoes I could wear for casual activities. The skateboarding shoes arrived individually wrapped in white fabric liners and boxed in a nice branded and decorated sliding shoe box. These shoes can be gifted in the box as is with a gift bow and tag or placed within a gift bag accompanied with a gift tag. Each laced shoe weighs 427.5 grams and measures 11 1/2" in length and 4 1/8" in width around where the ball of your foot would be. The shoes are a canvas skateboard type of shoe mainly made out of a durable fabric with a durable gumshoe bottom surrounded by a whitewall layer. The shoes are quite solid and the workmanship is good with even stitching and no visible glue marks. In terms of looks, what initially drew me to this shoe was the clean blue-and-white colorway with a simple paisley pattern accent. There is a fair amount of branding around the shoes with “Sew by You” branding on the outside of the tongue, back heel, on little fabric tags on the outside-facing sides of each shoe, on the gumshoe bottoms, and on the top and bottom of the removable insoles. There are also many little details, and the detail I found the most interesting was on the inside of the tongue with a graphical eye and mysterious text references to “Horus”, “Point and line to plane”, and “Skate Eye”. One final design detail that stood out was the tan suede leather accent on the back of the shoe. The comfort level is decent and is pretty much what you’d expect from a rugged skateboarding shoe. The toebox is fairly standard in width but there is minimal give due to the rubberized reinforcement layers around the front of the shoe. The shoes have an okay level of cushioning, with the main cushioning coming from the removable insoles that are surprisingly full-sized and offer a good level of foot support similar to other third-party insoles. All in all, these are nicely constructed canvas skateboarding shoes with an interesting colorway, great durability, and reasonable comfort. I recommend these as a nice option for skateboarding type shoes you can wear for casual activities.

I ordered the men's 7 / Women's 9 - but either the sizing is completely wrong, or I was sent a YOUTH because they were TINY! luckily enough they fit my little sister who wears a women's 5 (!!!) so I just gave them to her, but I was super disappointed that I couldn't keep them for myself. They are very cute, and the quality feels good, but without exaggeration the shoes I received were 4 SIZES TOO SMALL. So just be cautious when ordering I guess.
