M-D door bottom, l-shape, 3.6 in width, 36 in length, 1.8 in thickness, vinyl, mill. Energy loss through the bottom of doors can be minimized with the installation of a door bottom in conjunction with your smooth top threshold. This combination provides a weatherproof seal between the bottom of the door and the top of the threshold. Drip caps also provide your exposed entry ways protection by diverting water away from the door bottom and thresholds. M-D Building Products offers multiple combinations of new and replacement door bottoms and drip caps that will fit most entry doors.

TheIs product fit as it should on the commercial doors and it’s good and solid. Would highly recommend if you need to extend a door lower to meet a new low profile threshold

Plenty of length to cut to size and seams high quality for a storm door. Since it is adjustable, it would be nice if it came with some way to plug/seal the ends after installation. My door had a big gap under it so I had to adjust U-channel way down to meet the threshold and now there's a void inside and open on both ends, also had to caulk the top edge so water can't leak into it. There's no drain holes in it, so I guess it should only be installed with sealant.

Has a replaceable door seal at the bottom made of high grade aluminum did not get a chance to install it yet but the way it feels it will last years and years I'm glad I found it on Amazon just received it today August 16th 2024 would recommend to anybody this comes in many different sizes I needed a 36 it matches right up sincerely Mr Gerald Harris

Looks good and covered a 1-2 inch gap under my door, but now I’m struggling to keep the slid-in rubber from coming loose and preventing the door from shutting. It is likely a mistake of the install I did, but instructions weren’t clear on it and now the rubber is bent and has a memory to fall out. The metal part is solid and I have no complaints about that!

This thing is amazing, my shed door was coming apart on bottom & thought would have to put on a new one but I saw this on Amazon and thought I would try, it was simple to put on, now the door looks amazing and works perfectly, so glad I found it!

Had a wood door that the bottom was rotting out. Was going to try wood filler but instead this worked great to cover that rot up and still be able to get to the good part of the door where the screws would hit good solid wood. Very strong and stiff. Very pleased with this product looks sharp

Replaced my old door from 1953 with a new one, problem was new doors are now 79" not 80", this covered the gap. High grade aluminum (not plastic) just cut to length and screw on.

Until the project is up on the list for replacement of this vintage property where previous owners installed a cheap front door am excited about this trim replacement in the meantime. Oscillating saw easily custom trims the length and sides. With an adjustment to the old flood trim this works perfect. Snug yet easily opens and closes.I particularly appreciate the solid design of this upgrade. Makes the base of door looks fancy shmancy 🏆Highly recommend this door weatherization option.Wasn’t able to fully dry fit due to super snug. I cut away a 1/2 inch on each side along the front to not interfere with the insulation. Used a metal drill to start the holes once installed.I had to modify the floor transition as the previous was too high. Depending on your set up be aware other modifications might be required for a snug yet functional door opening and closing without impediment.Overall, super happy. Recommend if this product fits your particular circumstances.For me, no more breezeway beneath the door without replacing the entire door and frame (yet)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

This is a perfect product where the application is a door that is worn out or rusted or falling apart at the bottom. The aluminum is strong enough to to secure the door and make replacing the door unnecessary.There is more than enough aluminum so that you can even cut off some of your worn out door if you want. I chose to just "cap" the bottom of my door. Because my door had some swelling, I had to tap the aluminum unit into place, making sure to not damage the bottom slot for the rubber.

Bought this for my storm door. The door was wider than 1.75”, but I could bend it open a bit to fit around the bottom of the door. Workers great for filling a large gap at the boot bottom. Heavy duty too, will easily handle Winnipeg snow.

Product was exactly what I needed to securely finish off the bottom of an old door (120 years old) to close off the gap to the threshold. It was very easy to cut to my required length on the table saw and to install. It looks good, is very sturdy, and it works well to eliminate drafts. I would definitely purchase it again.
