Bought these for a Spartan 54" mower since they fit both Bad Boy and Spartan. We have very sandy soil in our area which usually ends a set of blades in less than 20 hours. There blades gave me 30 hours so now my go-to blades.

I cut 7 acres in south MS. I replace blades every year. These worked.

Hardened end blades are the best but these will do for now.

Mower blades are disappointing in general because now everyone uses inferior steel to make them. I go through a couple of sets of these per year mowing about 2-3 acres of yard with a Bad Boy Magnum MZ 54”. My soil is sandy and sand is very hard on mower blades. By the time these quit cutting cleanly there really isn’t much of anything left to sharpen so they have to be replaced . They may be made in USA, but they aren’t a superior product. That’s said, OEM blades don’t last very long either so these represent a very good value. I keep buying them so I guess that’s an endorsement.

I used these blades on my John deere D170 with slight modification. The original blades were a medium lift and the chute would clog constantly. After installing these blades I can literally mow a hayfield!
