I found this to be a simple and classy hospital box gift set. I'm preparing for labor & delivery and it couldn't have come at a better time. As far as sizing goes, most pieces in the box is ONE SIZE fits most (robe, night gown, and socks) and the only item that will relate to the sizing you choose is the underwear. I chose the large size and it seems to be a perfect fit, only that on me it didn't look and feel like a full coverage brief but more like a bikini brief. For postpartum, I'm all about the granny panties. I won't deny how comfortable granny panties are. Who want's to keep adjusting panty lines? Anyway, the robe felt luxurious. The waist ties are sewn to the robe in the back which I really like because I have robes where the ties constantly shift and go off center, and sometimes get lost and twisted in the wash. The nightgown fit me perfectly, but I think being 'one size' will be a problem for bigger women, particularly those who are a size 14+. There is a lot of stretch, but it will end up being more of a fitted gown rather than a relaxed fit like it is shown on the model. It is much smaller than Frida Mom delivery and Nursing gown which I own and have a love and hate relationship with it because of it's sizing. Frida delivery gown is also 'one size' and on me, it was super big, loose and sloppy looking. Whereas the Hatch night gown fits like it should for a person who is a size large like me. It has terrific drape and is very comfortable. It feels great on. I just wish it was several inches longer. Taller people will find it to be on the short side. The socks is the coziest of cozy and I love it. Yes, the price of this box can be shockingly expensive for a lot of women, but that's just the reality of this brand. I several HATCH maternity items like the nursing bras. It's one of those situations where you're paying for the brand more than the quality. I feel like some of the items from Hatch, including a few key pieces in this gift box are quality made and I also have a love and hate relationship with this brand. For the most part, I love it and do recommend this box for yourself. As for gifting, that might be tricky. My box arrived damaged. It it beautifully packaged, but it will likely get damaged in shipping and I think that really all depends on who at Amazon is packing and shipping this item. Thus, I must deduct a star. Otherwise, I highly recommend this set. Go ahead, treat yourself! It is especially a great gift if you know of someone or have a friend that you want to gift something that is known to have a high value and is quality made rather than a cheap big box brand item.

This maternity hospital kit from expectant mothers from fashionable brand name Hatch is a lovely and eye-popping gift idea. With all she'll need for her delivery and stay in the hospital, this is a great gift idea and will be something used going forward due to the high quality. New mommy loves it and so do we!

Okay so, this set came beautifully wrapped in a box with ribbon. It comes with a pair of super cozy socks, but they don’t have the little sticky things on them that keep you from slipping on hospital floors. They come with a pair of buttery soft undies which are a great fit and the waist band is super soft so I can imagine post C-section friendly. The robe it comes with is also buttery soft. The gown is just a gown it doesn’t have a slit back or buttons for nursing but it is super comfy.In my opinion I would never buy this for myself and I would be upset if my family or husband gifted this to me for the price. I think if maybe they came in colors or patterns and the gown was more labor and delivery friendly with buttons for nursing or a slit down the back for epidurals it would be a great gift set. I think this set is more suited for at home after baby. The items are very soft and high quality though.

This is a gorgeous set of luxurious essentials that will pamper the new mom. The socks are sooooo soft and made in Italy. I don't want to take them off!Inside is a robe, a nice nightgown, socks and very soft undies. All the essentials. The nice heather grey will hide any spills/breast milk marks until it's time to wash. If you had a natural childbirth you'll likely be in the hospital undies for a few days but these undies are perfect for going home. Very nice pieces that will be comfortable to wear for quite some time and I think they'll be in my closet for years, baby or not. High-quality material, soft and substantial.My reason for leaving off a star is that I feel this set could be a little more affordable and the box was badly damaged so if it was intended to be a gift you might have to return it to get a better box or repackage.

This would be a very cute gift for a newly expecting mama. First off, the package came in a bag instead of box so the Hatch box came ruined, which is a waste because now I can’t recycle the box for other uses. However, the packing inside is still cute. They wrap it in tissue paper with a sticker that makes it seem like you’re actually opening a gift.All of the items inside are extremely comfortable, which is Hatch’s M.O.. Please note: the socks, robe, and nightgown are all “one size” so when you are selecting a size it’s merely for the underwear. I’m 9 weeks c-section postpartum, weigh 159lbs, 5”4, and ordered a Large in the underwear which fit comfortably for me and above my c-section scar. The underwear is honestly my favorite item because it’s been hard for me to find a good pair of underwear that doesn’t provide compression, irritate my skin, and fits snugly above my scar without creating a “roll” where the underwear line starts- this underwear provides all that! The robe and gown feels very luxurious and buttery, however I wouldn’t recommend it for use in the hospital because I’m always very cold in hospitals and this doesn’t provide any warmth. Lastly, the socks doesn’t look very comfortable but when you put it on it feels so soft and comfy- definitely bring these to the hospital! I’d recommend this set for expecting and postpartum moms!
