This is a very nice, high quality handle. But there's nothing 5" about it -- overall length is 5 1/4", distance between hole centers is 4 1/2". The dimensions graphic is illegible, maybe it says this, but who knows.

I needed a handle for a car trunk lid that will survive 6 months of Upstate NY road salt. Only time will tell, but this appears to be a quality product that will fit the bill. Mounted with SS sheet metal screws sealed with silicone. I fully suspect it will outlast the car.

I design and make cutting boards as a hobby. I have used these marine grade heavy duty handles for my boards the last 2 years. They are expensive - but extremely worthwhile getting. Once you use these handles you will understand what I mean.

I purchased 4 of these and they are nicely polished. Also, the salty marine environment has yet to have an affect on them, but I’ve only had them about four months so only time will tell.
