I'm accustomed to using the old school thick Weider Leather belts with a buckle and I wanted to try this more modern weight lifting belt. I like the idea of being able to remove the added back support for exercise routines where I don't need it and it just gets in the way. Something I'm not able to do with my leather belt. I was also intrigued by the lock-in mechanism which seems convenient once you have the length dialed in. The belt came in and it feels feather light which I think is a good thing so it feels like it's not even there while you're working out. The quality of the material and the stitching makes it look well made. The length of the Velcro strip at almost 8 inches gives you plenty of room for adjustment and provides a very strong grip. The fact that once you have the length dialed in you can use the buckle for putting the belt on and taking it off means you're not working the Velcro at all so there is literally no wear and tear on the Velcro after prolonged use. Unfortunately, I'm not able to try this belt for working out and provide input because their sizing chart seems off. I ordered a large and I was shipped a medium, which after looping the strap through the metal buckle and using as little of the Velcro as possible (see photo) still did not work for me. I suggest you order one size larger because there is plenty of room on the Velcro to adjust it more towards the downside and get a proper fit.As an Amazon Vine Voice, I provide unbiased reviews of products most people would need or want.
