If you are into scrap metal you should know that removing the plastic shield on wire will net you much more per pound than coated wire. This tool will easily pay for itself. It has a very simple design but functions well. The construction of this tool turned out to be heavier duty than I was expecting . I like that it is adjustable to fit many different thicknesses of wire. It has a hand crank and also a drill adapter to make it even easier to use. The overall size is fairly compact and doesn’t take up too much room if you want to keep it mounted on your workbench. Overall happy to have this tool in my garage

Whether you are stripping wire to make connections or completely unsheathing for recycling, this works flawlessly. This works well with any gauge wire I have encountered, and produces consistent results. It's easily compatible with and cordless/corded drill, as well as manually cranked. This is an excellent tool if you are into scrap recycling or routinely stripping wire.

Striped a lot of romex, 14,12,& 10 AWG. Stripping Romex takes extra pass to remove the outer sheath and then you can strip the conductors separately. Also stripped 200 feet of aluminum triplex service. Had no issues with it. I wore out the cutter wheel and needed to replace it, contacted seller who said there are no replacement wheels available. The seller contacted me and said they would send me another whole unit. Five stars because of great product and service.

Picked this up to with a trip already planned. It did not disappoint. I had the option only to try in France, but it did end being in both the newer and older style outlets in two different places we stayed. It worked perfectly to charge my phone and tablet via the built-in USB ports. The device itself is pretty well made. It's easy to use and looks cool. The logo lights up whenever it is plugged in, so It can minimally function as a nightlight -- at least to get your feet on the floor from the bedside -- it definitely isn't going to light the way to the bathroom or anything. On the flipside, it is probably not too bright to keep you awake if you're sensitive to light. Overall, I recommend this product.
