For the price you get a lot of bias tape. I don't know what I was thinking getting this much. I don't think that I'll be able to use it up in my life time. You get a huge roll of quality material. I included close up pictures of the bias tape. There's a slight sheen to this. I assume that it's made out of polyester.

I have bought from this company many many times and have always been happy with there products. These rolls of bias I bought this time are absolutely horrible. Most of the first roll wasn't even pressed it was one big roll of stripes of scratchy fabric wound on a cone. And whatever fabric they started using to make this bias is awful. It's shiny and looks like fold over elastic.

Adding this contrasting detail to my sewing projects has made them look so custom and professional. I knew it would be different, but I didn't know this one extra step would make such a difference. I like it so much, I might make this my signature trim.

I use bias tape frequently. Sometimes I make it myself from fabric I'm using for a sewing project, other times I purchase packets of it pre-made. I love finding some vintage bias tape in fun patterns too!I loved the idea of 55 yards of bias tape on a roll and jumped at the chance to order this package, however when it arrived I found myself disappointed. Yes, the description does say polyester but I didn't expect it to be so thin and flimsy. I want to say it feels like it is 3D printed, but I've seen 3d printed items that are much thicker and don't look like they will rub into shreds in the first wash.I want to make something with it to try out the durability, but sewing takes valuable time and I don't want to waste it making something that I feel will look frayed and worn out after the first wash. Perhaps I'll make a quick potholder to throw through the wash for a test. The color is bright and consistent, the fabric feels soft but kind of plastic- like. The folds are not even in some places. For the amount of bias tape I use one would think I'd be excited about having a big roll of bias tape but because of my concerns I'm reluctant to even give it a try.

I like that the tape has a bit of gloss to it and that you get quite a bit of it. It doesn't have much of a stretch to it but most projects I plan on using it for won't require that. I don't do a lot of sewing so this will probably end up lasting me a couple of years.

I haven't used premade binding before, but wanted to give this a try. I find this to be thin, silky, and easy to work with. By thin, I mean it won't add bulk, it's great quality. Also, as you can see from the pic, the fold does not meet in the middle, giving you space for binding thicker fabrics without adding bulk. I'm pleased with this.

I have several presser feet for use when sewing on bias binding, but to use it would have meant swapping out sewing machines to one that doesn't make stitches 9 mm wide. Therefore I sewed it on using the 'old fashioned' way. I sewed it to the back on the first fold, then flipped it over to the front, on the front folded it down and stitched along the other fold line. I was sewing on fabric that had been folded into four layers to test out some threads. Rather than making up another fabric sample, I used what I had on the go. I think I did a good job considering how tight the fold over was.I especially liked the fact that unlike regular bias tape that I have used that is cotton, this was made using polyester and it had a silky like finish which would make it especially nice if you are using it to finish a neckline and armscye. They would look and feel so much better to be finished off with this. This is a really big roll that I will tell my cleaning lady that I have a really big supply of it in case she has need for any. She and her daughters make all their own clothes as well as mens shirts. I love sharing sewing supplies with her as she is so helpful and such a friend. We both live 40+ miles from a well stocked sewing store, but about 2 miles from each other so if she needs a shade of some thread I can usually produce it. One of the nice things about sewing and quilting is the generosity of the others that do it. I'm 68 and I don't think the chance of me using 55 yards of this binding before I die is slim to none. But between her and her daughters there is a big chance of using it up. One of the biggest reasons that I use bias tape for is the neckline of a baby outfit I like to make for newborns, and I like the idea of having this silky finish next to their necks.I appreciate the opportunity to try this out. Thank you.

Love having bias tape on hand, and this handy roll is convenient. For many of my projects I make my own bias tape, but not all projects require matching or handmade bias tape. I saw this and liked the silky look to it thinking it would slide over tights and leggings more easily than the cotton type tapes I usually use. I found it easy to use. I like the large size so I can tackle many projects and not have to worry about running out. I think it is a good value.
