As others have stated, these gaskets are "handed." You need a right hand and left hand one. Or put another way, one is the mirror image of the other. Right out of the packet, I have two for same side of the manifold. Of course, it says all over the insert that once opened you cannot return. But, I couldn't tell until opening the packet. A really lousy experience as I am in the middle of replacing the intake manifold on my Mercedes R350, and now have to stop and order this product again.

These came for the same side not L and R. and Ive read it seems a common problem. Now I have to pull it all out and start again as it leaks air.

Next time I install these I will use a drop of super glue over the clips. It is known they fall off during installation. The right part just a bad design.

Gasket look same as original it’s from hard material not soft rubber like I was installing on other cars, also there are circle spots to push in to hold on the manifold for easy installation even I put gasket maker to hold it better it was still coming off so I end up using strings tight trough screw holes instead on my car than removing strings after putting the manifold screws . It’s the car design issue not the product here. As most German cars they make it difficult for us at home to work on cars ,but it’s possible!
