With a slight tweak, this has worked very well with our small RV fridge.

Do not buy this product!I would give it no stars, but that is not possible.Unfortunately I was not able to install this item until after the return deadline. As Murphy's Law would predict, of course is does not work. All three fans on this unit are faulty. I traced down the power supply to each fan. 12V power is at each fan, but none of the work.

Nice fan, doesn't seem to make a huge difference in helping the fridge cool down. Easy install.

This fan does a good job of circulating air in my Dometic refrigerator, and I haven't had a problem with the fins icing up since I installed it.That said, installation was a pain. This is *not* a plug & play device, so plan accordingly. This fan runs on 12v DC power. The installation instructions describe either tapping into the wiring powering the light inside the fridge, or routing the wire through the "hole in the back" of the fridge (condensation drain) and finding power somewhere behind the fridge. It comes with a pigtail hardwired to it, with a twist-lock connector, and a separate longer wire with stripped ends for making the connection. The first issue is that the connector needs to be a LOT closer to the fans. There's like a foot of wire above the connector, when there really should be 2 or 3 inches (this will become a minor problem for me).Initially, I tried to wire it to the fridge light, as this looked to be the easiest. Problem was, since it's an LED light, the cover isn't made to come off. I couldn't get to the wiring there, so on to plan B - wiring it up behind the fridge.I opened up the outside cover and easily found a place to tap into the 12v wiring. But to get there, I needed to push two fine wires down a small corrugated plastic tube. Hilarity ensued as the wires caught on every twist and turn in the tube. Eventually I found another piece of wire in my garage, pushed it through, and then used it to pull the fan wires through.Except... the twist-lock connector on the wires *doesn't fit* in the tube - leaving the wires 2 feet short of getting where I need. I had to pull some longer wires through, connect them in the back, and then solder them to the fan wiring. So now it works, but I have 3 feet of wiring zip-tied into a loop in my fridge and laying in the condensation tray. After getting it installed, I realized that even if I had been able to make the light wiring work I still would have had a big wad of wire in my fridge because of the amount of wire above the twist-lock.In the future, I may pull it all back apart, cut the pigtail and shorten it by about a foot, and maybe cut a couple of feet out below that connector and splice it directly to my wires. Or I might just leave it and let my wife continue to complain about the wires every time she opens the fridge. But at least it's not icy!

Installed on our arctic Fox 990 truck camper absorption refrigerator. I chose to run the wire through the water drain hose that comes out the back, I had about 6 in of wire that came out of the tube so I ran extra wire to a 12-volt coming into the control board of the refrigerator. I ran the ground wire from the fan to the ground that was connected to the copper tubing for the propane. There was already a connector there for another ground. The clips in the back work very well and are tight on the fins as you can see in some of the other pictures. I'd prefer if I can turn one or two of the fans off and just have one going. This was an option on another system I installed on our toy hauler, and that fan was about $90 so this one was much cheaper. The other one had a built-in light which was not necessary. This one does not and it is not necessary. Unless your refrigerator does not happen light, then I'd find another option of a fan that has a light.Blows around enough air to circulate inside my small 8 cubic foot refrigerator. If I had a larger refrigerator. Let's say 11 cubic foot. I think this would still work.

We got this for the camper refrigerator. It cuts down on the cooling time huge! We ass a couple frozen water bottles, and the refrigerator is at temperature within an hour.

Anyone that's had a dometic frige can tell you they don't work as well as they should. We are full-timers right now and lost our food twice in full sun situation. This product saved not only my food but my sanity as well. My hubby installed it in 15 minutes. I recommend getting some tape to keep the wires out of the way. It lowered the temperature 10 degrees in the frige.

I installed this on my propane/electric refrigerator on my rv. I used the hot wire from the frig light to power the fan. Helps keep frig cooler when outside temps are above 90*.
