My grandson is really into baseball and what better way to prepare him than a batting tee. The batting tee is easy to put together. It is very sturdy and it is a bit heavy which is a good thing as you don't want something that falls down easily. It adjusts to the boys' height as they grow and this batting tee will last a while and not just a year or so. It is something that you can keep if properly stored for a long time. I had previously got my grandson one of those plastic ones and it was garbage. This one is authentic and should help any aspiring baseball player with good eye and hand control for batting.

I bought this tee almost a year ago and wanted to see how it would hold up. The tee is still being used and in great condition. I will highlight the pros and cons of the tee and you can decide if this is for you.Pros: Easy to transport, adjustable and easy to adjust, the base is heavy so very few times the tee gets knocked over (bonus for my 12 year old son) and overall durable.Cons: Only adjusts as high as my son's stomach. This will be an issue if he continues to grow at the rate he's growing, the part that holds the ball is starting to show small signs of cracking at the top but it still holds the ball well, and the part that holds the ball is soft plastic so it has to bent now and then to be straight.Overall, this is great for Little League players. Past Little League, I wouldn't recommend it because the cons are too much to overcome. From ages 3-12, it is great and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. It was worth the $22 I paid, my only regret is that i didn't buy it when my son was younger.

The tee is a staple for anyone that wants to improve themselves at hitting and this one is a GREAT value. Very well built with a HEAVY base (about 10lbs) that can withstand most reasonable shots, before tipping over)The shaft slides up and down well but has enough grip that it does not slink back into the tube on its own. Its pretty stiff but allows enough give that a slight shank will just bend the shaft instead of sending the whole tee flying at the pitching mound.The height is adjustable and should be adequate for most players from teeball to the pros.I've had this tee for over a year and get decent use out of it. It shows no signs of wear and is just as good as the day I received it.Since I bought this, the price has gone down from $25.99 to $17.04 at the time of this writing. It's a steal at this price and anyone looking for a tee should jump all over it before the prices goes up!

I've written a review of this tee a few times now and somehow they didn't get published. I was just looking at my reviews and noticed this now. Normally I wouldn't spend any extra time writing a review after months of buying something, but this tee has been too good to not write a review for it. I initially bought a tee from SKILZ but that broke in literally the first at bat it was used. For a youth league, that just wouldn't cut it. I kept looking and decided to give this tee a try. Not only did it hold up for the youth league, but it also held up for an adult league team on which I play.This tee is basically made from thick rubber throughout with no plastic (i.e. breakable parts). There is a metal cylinder that goes on the inside of the bottom of the tee that provides stability, strength and durability. That part has a bolt that you use to connect it to the base/home plate. It is heavy enough that it won't tip over if not hit squarely and strong/thick enough that it won't crack. I've played baseball for many years and aside from the ATEC branded tees, this is the best one on the market.I hope this review helps because there are lot of tees out there and they just don't compare, at least not at this price.

The base is a nice thick slab of rubber with the perfect amount of weight to it; it's heavy enough that the tee rarely tips over, but it's light enough that you can move it around wherever you need to. The pieces fit together snugly enough to stay in place, but not so snugly that the tee can't be adjusted upward or downward as desired.In the description, it says this can go up to 47" high. My box arrived with some holes in it, so I'm not sure if I got everything. I had the base, a metal tube and connector that went on the base, one rubber tube that went over the metal tube and a second rubber tube that went on top of the wider tube. There were no instructions, but I put everything together. It seems to work fine and it looks just like the picture. However, at its tallest height, I measure it as 37" tall, not 47". Am I missing a piece that would give me the extra ten inches? Am I supposed to pull the first rubber tube upward off the metal tube to get that ten inches? I tried pulling up on that, it wouldn't budge and I was afraid I'd wreck the base if I yanked harder. Thanks!
