The thread is a bit undersize; OK for sloppy applications, but will lead to stripped threads in more demanding applications.

Sizing etc seems ok. Fits a M5 nut with ease. The threads look a little shallow though, despite this and some threads on some pieces not perfectly cut.Comes in a jiffy bag covered in sellotape, so you cannot recycle it, which is a shame.Otherwise, is what it is.

These HiPicco M5 x 120mm 304 Stainless Steel Fully Threaded Rods were perfect for fabricating an outdoor electrical utility box stand-off. I needed ventilation behind the lower portion of this box, as this is where the cooling air enters. I wanted to use stainless as these days it seems that your garden variety galvanized fasteners are not very good when it comes to resisting rust. So, unless you keep them lubricated, and if they are in place for even a few seasons, they will likely begin pitting and seize up. In this case, this box is not so easy to reach, but it might need to come down occasionally. I want this to not become a major task. So, stainless was the obvious choice. I had a difficult time finding M5 bolts of adequate length, particularly in stainless. So, with a handful of nuts and washers, and these 120mm rods I can adjust the spacing as required.These are delivered in a small, padded bag. But they are loose inside. Mine arrived OK. But this allows them to potentially bang and rub together during handling. So, they can get nicked up which could affect their use. Threads, especially small ones, are very sensitive to this. If they could be flat packed it would keep them separated from each other. This would reduce the risk of damage.The quality of these all-thread rods is very good. Four of these went to my project described above. The balance will enjoy a place in my fasteners drawer and will likely also to be used in the near future. These easily get five stars.

The rods are exactly 150 mm long.The thread are perfect, and there are no sharp burrs on the ends.At $14 for a set of 10, this is a good deal!
