1 of the 2 motors that I ordered is DOA (Dead on Arrival). Unfortunately it is past my return date so I will have to eat it. Please do not purchase from this supplier.

feels like twice as fast now, super cool! little bit cutting to frame is needed as the motor is slightly bigger but bolts right on

I work this thing pretty hard, driven by a Dimension Engineering "Sabertooth" motor controller. It whips a moving target system back and forth across 60 feet of cable very nicely and rapidly indeed, especially at 24V. I fashioned a very simple mount by drilling and milling a 4"-long piece of 1-1/2" x 1/8" L-angle aluminum (available at any good hardware store in 36" lengths and easy to cut with hacksaw, cordless drill, dremel, if you don't have a mill). Only two of the faceplate screws (#8 machine screws, if I recall correctly) go into the mount, but it's plenty.

amazing generator, fairly free moving. Will definitely look to purchase the 300W dc motor soon.

A cheap motor for cheap. So OK.Be careful taking off the sprocket... The threads on the motor shaft are LEFT-Handed (as they should be). So if you over tighten the shaft nut it will force the shaft bearing (inside the motor) down onto the armature coil. Then to get the motor to work again you'll have to try and pull that bearing off the coils and back into position. This could all be easily eliminated if they just turned a step in the shaft instead of using a collar under the sprocket. That would keep this from happening. But the motor works and was cheap so I can live with it.

I use it for my project handle a windmill turbine, it got hot to much after 30', I don't know how long it's alive if hot to much. with #25 chain not fit for normal teeth pulley, so take a lot of personal technical to make it working the way I need.
