I used this around 6 months ago on bathroom paint job. No mold has returned and paint looks great. I wiped down mold area with diluted clorox before paint was applied.

It's a great product, however, the first bottle arrived about 2/3 empty...amazon replaced it for me and the 2nd bottle was the same. Buy the product, just not from amazon.

This stuff will keep mold from growing even in harsh conditions for a long time, at least embedded in the paint or stain as happens with unprotected products. If you allow garbage to pile up on a surface that grows mold, that's not really directly on or in the paint, so it's not the paint or M1's fault. I was even able to make stain out of a plant juice containing watered-down sugars and this keeps microbes from growin in the stain.

I've bought these several times from home improvement and paint stores, and it works well enough. This bottle that I bought from Amazon was congealed and I had to throw it out.

I really like the performance of this little bottle. I had serious problems of mold in closet and walls, I painted with Behr Ultra Premium (anti mold) + this M1 (one little bottle per gallon) and by now no mold in walls and closet. It really works!

This is a terrific product that I use anytime I paint a bathroom, garage or other spot that might be subject to mold - especially ceilings. You just mix one of these into a gallon of paint and it works like magic...doesn't change the color or quality of the paint in any way - just creates a mold-proof surface when the paint dries.I first used this product when remodeling a bathroom several years ago. It has been painted less than six months prior, but the high humidity and lack of ventilation meant that the ceiling was always looking like a lab experiment with little patches of mold everywhere. After we remodeled, I used a high quality paint mixed with M1 Mildewcide...believe it or not, the paint still looks like new five years later, and there's never been even a single example of mold or mildew.Definitely should be in your bag of tricks any time you paint a spot that humid or damp. Totally recommended!
