This thing is BEEFY and HEAVY. To avoid injury, it is probably best to have two people lift this and get it into the trailer hitch connection. The good though? It can hold 600 pounds! Make sure your car’s hitch can support that – there is a difference between pulling weight and holding up a static weight (like this) with no support or wheels under it. It’s nice that this folds up when not in use, so you don’t have to worry as much about hitting something with the extended cargo carrier on the back of your car on accident – or just making it easier to park. The side panels are also great to keep everything from falling out/off. Feels really sturdy and high quality, but only time will tell if it will hold up to regular abuse.

Easy to put together and well made. Perfect for attaching to the back of an RV to haul gear. I like that it can fold up and out of the way when not in use.

My husband installed this rack on the back of our minivan. His impression: it was a lot heavier than one he had borrowed from a friend. However, once it was in place, it was nice and sturdy and supported the bins on top. It is a very nice looking rack and will be very practical as we go on road trips and need to carry extra items or gear.

This cargo carrier is truly heavy-duty. The steel is strong and solid, without any twisting, and every connection is built to last. Most of it comes pre-assembled, so all you need to do is assemble the steel tube that connects to the hitch and the support frame at the bottom of the basket. It’s easy to assemble by yourself, and it took me about 40 minutes to complete. I like that the carrier is raised by about 2" thanks to the vent pipe, but the biggest advantage is that the basket itself is foldable. Since it can carry up to 600 pounds, it’s on the heavier side. The rear features three red reflectors that come pre-installed, so you don’t need to apply any extra stickers. Additionally, this product includes a hitch tightener with U-bolts. Given the quality of the structure, design, build, and paint, I think the price is very reasonable.

Strong sturdy basket. The hitch is well built and holds the weight limit well. The folup function is nice for when the basket isn't in use.
