Signs of a faulty valve cover gasket
- Low engine oil
- Burning smell
- Rough-running engine
Steps of the valve cover gaskets replacement
- Step 1: Try to tighten the gasket
- Step 2: Allow the engine to cool and gain access to the gasket
- Step 3: Lift off the valve cover
- Step 4: Remove the old valve cover gasket and fit the new one
- Step 5: Apply silicone if the manufacturer tells you do so
- Step 6: Re-install the valve cover

Worked like a charm. All of the intake manifold pieces fit perfectly. I wanted to add for other buyers that you need not buy a throttle body gasket, this has one included so don't buy an extra one. I was left over with a lot of extra gaskets, I'm assuming that it's for different variants of the engine. Great value.

This does not fit the 3.5L ecoboost. Ordered for my SHO, Amazon confirmed it fit, it does not. Looks nice, I'm sure it's fine for other applications but don't get it for your SHO or Explorer sport or any other 3.5 ecoboost. IT WILL NOT FIT.
