If the Silver Surfer was a real person and needed a “normal” way of getting around town, this is the board they’d choose.This one lives up to the hype. After accidentally running over my drop-down long board of 10 years with my car, a long and sad story. I decided that since they last 10 years I’d simply buy the best one I could find.My old board was a 9 layer maple hardwood beast. And heavy as all heck. Carrying all day was its own chore. (I lived in NYC and the trains steps with the board was a daily workout). So bamboo was on my radar.This things right here. Fast, smooth, and so beautiful. The board is meant for carvers, so check the flex for your recommended weight. For me, I’m learning to carve, but I love as a straight commuter and the hills of KC make it a joy to ride around. It’s also so much lighter than my previous deck, even with the huge wheels it comes with stock.I have several boards. An electric board by Shark, and some short trick decks. This is a very welcome addition to the family, the price is high, but all good. If you get 5-10 years out of it, it’s totally worth it!

Beautiful board! Love the unique pattern in the griptape and the desert landscape on the bottom. Feels solid to ride and looks premium.Fit and finish could have made a better first. The worst offender was the Loaded Board emblem on the bottom being about 15° off.I definitely like the amount of flex I get from the Flex 1 at 190Lbs, it helps with smooth carving and ride comfort.Be advised, if you are 185+Lbs like me, the Flex will be enough to bottom out on unsmooth surfaces, especially if traversing through an area with multiple bumps at high speed.Edit: At first I wished the board was slightly larger but after a few rides I'm totally comfortable with it. Size 11 feet).Overall I recommend this board to just about anyone that likes the design and wants this kind of board.Go with Loaded Boards recommended setup if you are new to longboarding and want to bomb some hills.My setup:Flex 1 Icarus (this product)Gull Sidewinders TrucksOldBoy Ceramic BearingsSharkwheel DNA 72mm WheelsEdit: Rubber spacers helped a lot. I love my Icarus. I keep it on display when I'm not using it. It's the perfect carving longboard in my opinion. And the Cork bottom with that design is just stunning. Even people who don't know a thing about boards will comment on it.

I did a lot of research before getting this board... and I wasn't disappointed. Nice and flexy, good quality, cork bottom and graphic are cool. I've had the board for a little over a year and probably put at least 500 miles on it.Couple of notes that might help people considering this deck: - Drop through deck, although Loaded ships Paris trucks, they don't tell you that you need a spacer to prevent the raised lettering on the truck from damaging the deck (see picture). I found this out the hard way since I built my board myself from parts. Make sure you pick up the spacers, Loaded sells them. I think they come on complete boards by default. - Bottom is cork. Although this is a cool look and feel, and supposedly helps absorb vibration, it is less durable than wood or bamboo since it's very soft. No grinding or other shenanigans on this deck or you'll rip up the bottom quick. I also noticed that it's wearing quickly on the tails from just kicking it up to my hand.

Great smooth carving board. Fun flex. Quality throughout. It’s not quite as pumpable as a surf skate, but with full body action it drives forward at pace (though not uphill). For pumping I prefer a slide or carver, but neither go as fast as stably as this albeit at a price.

The board is mint and really is way cooler in hands than on photos or video. The screen printed and textured cork is jaw dropping. Got flex 2 for my 190lb and is still a bit stiff. Don't be affraid of the excess of flex. Caliber II trucks fit perfectly and no wheel bite with Kegel and 80a Orangatang nips. No trouble, just fun so far.🤘

Mad Board! Pricey but you get what you pay for with these kind of things;(Custom Loaded bamboo/fiberglass deck, huge Kegel wheels, concaved deck etc)Lightweight, very lively, fast, but somehow also locks in at speed - It's one of their newest products.My second Loaded Deck - Quality. Wanted the Icarus for a while.Arrived more than a week early, well packaged. The option I chose to have it shipped from US meant I saved like £60 (incl shipping cost) compared to other sellers, tryna extort for the import, made in Cally haha.Shoutout to TGM Skateboards, I like how you do business!If anyone is considering a pretty board or a present for a young boy, look no further.

The stock photo does not do any justice on how beautiful this board is! This is my first longboard, and I definitely made a great choice, I am in love already with the sport. Did years of street skating and now gotta do something more relaxing. I'm still learning how to ride, but it is definitely a smooth ride on asphalt or sidewalks. Will have to update if my initial impressions change. Overall board setup is great. Feels really fun when the board rebounds back. Board feels pretty stable at 25 mph. My longboard skill level is beginner, this board seems to be a perfect fit for me in what I want to learn in this sport. Carving/pumping/cruising. I went over some rough asphalt (the type that makes your feet go numb on a normal skateboard) and I was surprised at the amount of shock absorption it has. Still got a long way to go learning though! Will update if things change.Update #2Just took this for a 5 mile ride up and down the beach pike pathway. Heading up wasn't too bad, the was a slight headwind also according to Strava, there was an overall elevation of about 50 feet. The most memorable part of this ride was heading back, with a tailwind, I was able to pump and carve all the way back with ease! It was the first time it felt like I was gaining/maintaining speed when pumping/carving. This board is awesome, I don't think I need to update anymore. Only thing I need to do is protect the tail and nose.
