Top of the line mallet for any toolmaker, machinist or anyone needing a quality dead blow mallet. it will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Change the faces as needed or for whatever application applies. I confident of Lixie's quality, I got one for the new apprentice at my shop.

I've owned several of these hammers over the years. They seem to find legs somehow. Ordered all the different faces as well.

I know this is a great tool, I've used them before.. but I am disappointed in the quality of the handle on this one. The epoxy/clear coat over the wooden handle is horrible. Some spots are nice and smooth (what I usually see on Lixie) and some spots are rough as heck and have way to much on it compared the the rest. Also the handle is not completely perpendicular to the head.

Worth it, first one I've owned but almost every other guy at the shop owns one and swears by them. I've had no issues and can't wait to get many years of use out of it.

This is a replacement for one that I sold with a set of tools that I had for many years. They are still made the same way and I expect it to hold up for 15 years of daily use like my old one did.
