I have tried many other tools to remove the fuel line on my scion and toyota vehicles. I even bought a kit with a whole bunch of different tools that were supposed to work. None of them did. This tool works. Slide it over the line. Give it a firm push. Wiggle the line and off it comes. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is I think it is a little expensive for what it is.

Like others have said, using the right tool will make easy work of the job. I struggled for over an hour trying to get one of my disconnect tools that came in my (what I thought was a complete) Lisle set and nothing worked. Ordered this and had it off in 10-seconds. Good quality and is now part of my full set.

Short Version: This is the first time in my life I have ever had to disconnect a fuel line and this tool accomplished it in under 10 seconds. Works well.Long Version: For what this thing does, its grossly overpriced considering you can get tools like this in a set from Harbor Freight for a quarter of the price. Unfortunately all of those tool sets are made for cars that aren't Toyotas. There are videos out there showing how to jerry rig an old hose to remove these fuel lines. If you are short on money or long on time, that method seems to work sufficiently. If you want to remove the line hassle free though, just buy one of these. I guess a small consolation is that the Amazon price is still significantly cheaper than getting this from an auto parts store.

When this fits, it goes in smooth and fuel lines slide off easy. Originally got it for Toyota fuel lines but I'm sure I've used it on other makes as well.It's not as sturdy as I'd like, but I don't think it would ever brake under normal use.

Doesn't work on chrysler 5/16 fuel connectors. When compared to typical 5/16 disconnect tools the insde diameter is the same but outside diameter is much larger. Kinda figured that when Toyota and Nissan were mentioned in the discription that there may be a slight variation that makes the tool suitable for only those manufacturers. Just a heads up to anyone buying it under the assumption that it is the same as other 5/16 disconnect tools cause it isn't.
