Handle cut on end is very offset. I will have trouble inserting wood wedge into the end.Do you have another 30" handle?Can I sand off the black finish.I will use this if I cannot get another one.This was the only one available.I will contact the Mfr & ask for advice too.Mike

Do not expect your Maul to just slide onto this, handle will require some sanding/grinding for a good fit. I suspect this is by design to account for variations in different applications, All in all very satisfied with it!
