Got this hammer so that we can nail down our steaks for the canopy. I can't believe I waited so long to get one. Specially since we have so many rocks underground. Works great to nail and also to take out the steaks. It is light and very well made.

Perfect tool for car camping, where hard-packed ground requires extra force and size & weight aren’t critical.

I love this lightweight aluminum hammer. Someone I follow was singing praises over it. I bought it for using with landscaping stakes. The stake puller attached is what drove me to purchase the hammer. Having the stake puller attached is very handy!

Heavier than expected, but honestly right in line with the product description. Good for car camping but probably not one you're going to want to take backpacking due to weight.

So I thought this was going to be a very lightweight camping hammer. It is solid and sturdy but It turns out to be as heavy as a normal hammer. It does come with a strap and clip to make carrying easy and doesn't need to be stored inside a backpack if you are really roughing it and have limited space. However, can easily use rope to secure a regular hammer all the same. Also when you consider it weighs the same and slightly longer I'd say just throw a regular hammer you already have in your bag. $15 isn't cheap for something you already have and works just as well and if not by a fiberglass lighter hammer at Lowes for $6. Another reality is the digging option on this hammer can also be duplicated with a regular hammer. Overall I have to say this product is a waste of money.

It's not as durable as any proper home improvement tool, but it's plenty durable for pounding in tent stakes. The hook does make it easy for yanking stakes back out of the ground. Were I a hiker or camper I suppose the light weight aluminum shaft would be beneficial. This thing is half the weight of the various home improvement / framing hammers I have at home. For me it was just a light weight tool to keep with my pop-up shade tent and stakes so I wouldn't need to worry about remembering or losing my real tools.
