Oem product which is great. Very hard to install. You must take the entire backboard apart. Instructions unclear. Search for my YouTube video on how hard installation is

Although the product is sold as new, I clearly received a package that had been opened and that someone had tried to install previously. As you can see on the photo, one part of the rim was bent - I managed to bend it back enough to make things work but probably have weakened the metal there now. Sometimes getting a return is just not a good option when you have two kids sitting in your driveway wanting to play.As mentioned elsewhere, save all the hardware from your previous hoop as you will likely need one or two pieces that for some reason are not shipped with this.

This is great rim, stronger than the one that came with our Lifetime basketball net. Took a little time to replace but not terrible. My boys are thrilled. Well worth it.

Satisfied with the item however the item needs to include the additional support bracket that I needed for my installation. That part was a bit aggravating. The additional bracket is not an option when looking at this product. I was able to use a piece of uni-strut cut the right length.

This was a perfect fit and went in pretty easily.The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because there is a piece that is not included with this and it's needed.When you install the bolts, there is a black spacer (I forget what they actually called it) and it does not come with this unit.Without it, you can not tighten the bolts.Thankfully, I still had the old rim and all the parts.The spacer was too big so I got my grinder and adjusted the size.Personally, I believe it should come with it.If it should have, please let me know and I will adjust the review.

I received the rim last week and waited until today to open the box and attempt to attach the rim on our backboard (same brand). The box contained a couple bags of hardware but was missing the 2 bolts and 1 of the push-nuts that are vital for installation. My son invited 3 friends over to play on his new hoop. Their parents dropped them off as I was un-boxing everything. I made two trips to Home Depot and ACE Hardware…neither of them had the right size bolts. Needless to say, there were 4 very disappointed boys at my house and 4 sets of frustrated parents who thought their kids would be spending some time outside away from their video games. The rim looks to be really well made but I can’t speak to that since we can’t use it. Very dissatisfied.

i used it as a replacement for a broken rim on Lifetime 1529. Task was straightforward but not super easy. Some screws were quite challenging to deal with. Having an additional person to assist would have helped a lot.After about an hour i had fully functional basketball goal again.

Bought this as a replacement rim for our lifetime backboard system. I didn't even realize I bought the Slam-it pro. The kids love it. It is heavy duty & looks professional. Definitely an upgrade for the original rim (which bent to an oval shape when the whole backboard fell over during the fall hurricane).

Much more stout than the standard rim that came with our lifetime goal (which broke). The bolts are too long for our goal, as mentioned by some other reviewers. However, I just cut the bolts shorter and it worked great. They are standard 5/16” carriage bolts, so you could just buy some shorter ones at the hardware store before you start.

Buscaba un sustituto de aro y busque varias opciones en varios lados también (incluida una acá en Amazon donde esperé 45 días sólo para que Amazon cancelará la importación del producto -más caro-). Después de leer muchos de los reviews en inglés y pesar de las advertencias de que la instalación podría ser difícil, me animé a comprarlo. El envío fue rápido considerando que era un producto de importación (entre 7 y 10 días, aunque fue gratuito por la membresía prime). Llegó en una caja masiva que se agradece porque preserva la integridad del producto. La instalación fue compleja pero no por el aro sino por el tablero en el que se colocó. Huno necesidad de ser muy preciso en la medición de los orificios de fijación pero una vez logrado esto, el armado y la colocación fueron muy sencillos.- Lo bueno: 1. La calidad de construcción es muy buena, es pesado y se percibe muy sólido, incluye dos resortes como parte del sistema de amortiguamiento, igual de muy buena calidad. Incluye además toda la tornillería necesaria para el montaje y el instructivo para el ensamblaje inicial 2. La pintura es de color rojo similar a la de los aros profesionales, se percibe igualmente de muy buena calidad y que soportaría la corrosión y el paso del tiempo 3. El sistema de amortiguamiento es también funcional y ha soportado, hasta ahora, los embates del balón y el peso de los también hasta ahora pocos que lo han alcanzado- Lo malo: Si tuviese que restarle puntos lo haría por dos razones: 1. El perno que se utiliza en el armado del sistema de amortiguamiento se fija con dos rondanas de presión que, una vez introducidas, son muy difíciles de remover, por lo que es necesario ser muy precisos al momento de armarlo. Esto se especifica en el instructivo por lo que sólo es necesario estar atentos en el armado. 2. la red incluida es más corta que la reglamentaria, es suficiente y cumple con su función pero me hubiese gustado una más larga.En resumen: es un producto de muy buena calidad, el precio es imbatible (no encontré otro de características similares o mejores a este precio) y definitivamente lo recomiendo y lo volvería a comprar.
