This stoneware dinnerware is a phenomenal value at $40 for a 12-piece set that includes 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, and 4 bowls given their quality construction and attractive, premium appearance. I got the milky brown which has a creamy appearance with light glaze on the top and sides but not underneath where the pieces have a less smooth, more tactile pottery-style feel. Besides giving the pieces a premium, handmade feel the lack of glaze along the bottom also makes them more grippy and less likely to slip out of your hand.The dinner and salad plates both have a raised lip instead of a flat design which can help to keep messy foods with sauces, gravy, or dressing from dripping off the edges onto your table or floor. The bowls are a little over two inches deep with straight sides rather than curving inwards maximizing the amount of available space inside.These dishes look beautiful, are easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher, and stack neatly. They provide a premium quality look and feel at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I LOVE this LIANYU stoneware! After I received this service for four, I hopped on Amazon to order two more sets. The look is timeless, elegant and minimalist. Whether you have Boho decor or plan to use these in a formal dining room, they will work anywhere. I have been lightening up all of my decor colors and thIs milky brown is such a serene, neutral shade.This stonewear was designed in Paris but is manufactured in China. Dishes are highly glazed to avoid chips but the underside is an unfired clay. I love pottery so this aesthetic hits me just right. Both the dinner and sandwich plates have raised edges, awesome for dishes like pot roast or pasta sauce. The bowls are ideal for cereal, dessert or as a crock for French onion soup.I always worry about ordering fragile items, especially in cold weather, but the secure packaging from this company is really impressive!! This, and the value for this sophisticated dinnerware made it very easy for me to commit to a service for 12! Thrilled with this set and I highly recommend it.

I’m very happy with this stoneware set.The plates and bowls have a lovely speckled design that adds a rustic charm to the table. They feel sturdy and well-made, and the unglazed bottom gives them a nice, non-slip grip. I also love that they’re dishwasher and microwave safe, which makes them super convenient for everyday use. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a stylish and durable set!

There is a simplicity to this set of dinnerware and I really like that. The color is so neutral that it doesn’t clash with any of my serving dishes.I really like the raised edges. That was what attracted me to this set to begin with. It isn’t just the esthetics but the functionally because it helps keep things on the plate.The bowls are a great size. They are deep enough to use for cereal and soup.It is nice to see a set that is affordable and doesn’t include a lot of “extras” that often go unused but increase the price.The only downside for me is that there is no coating on the bottom of the plates and bowls. The rounded bottom edges are actually a bit rough. I do not trust putting these on my granite countertops for fear of them scratching the surface. I do worry that the bases may wear a bit more over time. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of five.

This is a simple but classic set of dishes which includes 4 sets of a dinner plate/salad plate/bowl. It's made of clay that is glazed, just like pottery. There's a straight 1" edge along the perimeter of each piece which will hold all manners of pasta easily. The set comes in 4 muted neutral colors that I just love. They are scratch-resistant, stackable and are safe to use in your oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. They are lead-&-cadmium free. In short, I am very attracted to this set.They came well boxed and shipped in an additional outer Amazon box. There are splits in both the interior and exterior boxes (indicating it had been dropped) but I opened immediately and everything is in one piece. So it worked out for me.A set of 4 is probably good for someone who lives alone or at best, a couple, but of course, buying 2 sets would not a problem at the price of $30/set (price I paid when I ordered a month ago). So I looked to purchase a second set and guess what! It's now $50/4-person set. I should have jumped in earlier.
