Had these on for a month and will need to now buy the VW ones. Occasionally my car gives a parking brake error with these. That was not too bad; however, just a few days ago I was on a slight hill. In quick succession I got a “hill assist not available error followed by some addintional warnings. This all happened quickly as I was already accelerating to cross a road. The Touareg’s main screen went black and felt lacking power. Barely crossed the street. When scanning for codes I had an overvoltage error on like every module in the car. Not sure how these brakes did that but I’m sure it’s all connected to the “hill assist” error (probably related to the glitches I get once in a while just operating the e-brake). Another data point… these units measure about 7ohms, the VW ones measure under 1ohm. Also, the screw that gives access to the “emergency” release for the brake is supposed to be 3mm. In these units 3mm was too loose. Not other key, metric or otherwise was a good fit… this also points to terrible quality if they could not even source a decent basic screw.
