Well built design and the programmable timer is amazing. Why don't they advertise that?!

I got my wife a cork wall map for our anniversary so we can keep track of and visualize the places we've been together. Thought I could pizzaz it up with some lights. (each panel was 19.6" wide, and 34.5" tall).PROS:- It gets you that museum art piece look.- It is RF instead of infrared, so you don't have to point the remotes.- The lights don't get "confused" when trying to control them all at once.- If you stick to the size recommendations, it does throw enough light. (24"W and 35H" (in my personal opinion, this is dead on. I wouldn't go bigger, and if you go smaller, you might want to sleeve the light with some cleanly cut electrical tape, to focus the beam a bit tighter (no-one will notice)))- The anodization/paint/coating is pretty solid. I was trying to be careful, but I never scratched it off during handling, or putting it in and out of the metal bracket.NEUTRAL:- The cable wass long enough to get the power supply to an outlet... but barely. So I'll leave this one as a neutral.CONS: There are a surprising number...- $60 is entirely too much money for a single 1W led on a metal straw... what is going on here?!- The light aside... the mounting kit, the receiver, the screws... It's all junk cobbled together that you'll just have to "make it work". So you need to be handy or patient. (More on this below.) I have to assume they didn't try installing their own lights. Or they did one single time and said, "eh, close enough" - and now you get to deal with their ineptitude.- The lights can't daisy-chain wiring wise, so unless you're breaking out your soldering iron, and ordering another power supply, wiring can get silly quickly if you need many of these.- The electrical receiver box is too large to fit behind your picture (unless you want your picture tilted towards the ceiling a bit...)- The screws are way too long for most art. But especially art that is the size of their recommendation...So first off. If you center the bracket... your light will be uncentered on the art, because the final light position is not in the middle of the bracket... So watch out for that. Second, the shorter screws are entirely too long... Like, they would go through my art and most anything I'd hang in my house... So no matter what, you have to do a hardware store run for shorter screws.Third, the bracket to hold the light is huge! Like they found some scrap metal and just made it work. Like, it's deep. Like, the picture will stand off the wall quite a bit. And it might make hanging the picture very hard depending on what hanging hardware you have going on... But guess what? The receiver to control the lights... is even chubbier!! (look at the photos!). But you know the worst part? It's full of mostly air! They could have easily made it the correct size!So if you follow their sizing directions... and follow their installation steps, there is a great chance your picture will be pointing a bit at the ceiling! For no reason other than their laziness! So, what's the work around? I popped the plastic case off of the chubby receiver and then stapled the cable so it doesn't have too much tension from the rest of the dangling cable. (look at the photos). Pretty hood, I know, but it's behind the photo, and I'll hardly move it. If your art piece is flat on the back, keep this in mind, you'll need to deal with it too if you want to use the remote or built in timer. If I wasn't in a rental, I would have routed the wire into the wall for the cleanest look, but se la vie.I lied a bit about the lights getting confused. Sometimes they don't get the memo, but I just click the button a few times and I'm good to go. Besides, I plan to use the timer functionality rather than fiddling with a remote daily. Generally though, it's pretty good. Thankfully, the "On" command it separate from the "off" command. So they aren't just getting out of sync and blinking at you lol. You turn them on, and if one light didn't get the memo, you turn them off and try again. It's fine.I think there probably is enough cooling for the LED to operate at 100% (because the can is metal). But for $50*3 and all this hassle with installation... for some cheap Chinese lights - I'm not taking any chances. So I run these at 70% to keep them alive as long as possible.I'd probably give the kit 2 stars. And the light 4 stars. But at the end of the day, it's the only product on amazon that can give you that museum look. I saw the bigger version of this that's battery powered... but then I'm goofing off with another thing I need to charge and keep track of. No thank you. Autopilot for me.The pictures are of the final installation, some of the woes I mentioned, and a picture with the kitchen lights on (but not the living room). The lights are not quite as bright as the phone makes them appear lol. And the splash isn't quite that big... But it's close enough to the effect you'll get.

Purchased this in March, now less than 2 months later, it doesn’t turn on. Sadly- it’s been connected to a very expensive painting. So disappointing.

I recently purchased the URTOM remote control LED picture frame light to enhance the display of a recently commissioned painting of mine. After using it for a while, I am delighted to share my experience and thoughts on this product. The URTOM LED picture frame light boasts a sleek and modern design that effortlessly complements any interior decor. The slim profile and black metal finish add a touch of sophistication to my wall, creating a visually pleasing ambiance. The build quality is impressive, providing a sense of durability and reliability.Setting up the LED light was a breeze. The included mounting hardware made the installation process straightforward. I particularly like that extra screws were provided to allow for the light to be installed on the frame (as I did) or to the wall itself. The adjustable head/arm allowed for precise positioning, ensuring that the light illuminated my artwork perfectly. The color temperature creates a nice warm lighting effect, enhancing the overall aesthetic of my painting. The remote control feature is a game-changer. With the touch of a button, I can easily adjust the brightness levels to suit different moods and occasions. The ability to control the light without having to physically reach for it is a convenient and practical addition. In addiiton, you can also set the light to a timer function using the remote.I appreciate the energy-efficient design of this LED light. It consumes minimal power while delivering maximum illumination, making it an environmentally friendly choice. The URTOM light includes a detachable 120 VAC to 12 VDC wall adapter. The wall adapter connects via a barrel plug, which, while I've not yet tried it, would allow you to use a 12 VDC power supply if you don't have a wall plug nearby (such as a small automotive jump starter). In conclusion, the URTOM Control LED picture frame light has exceeded my expectations in terms of design, functionality, and performance. If you're looking for a high-quality and versatile picture frame light, I highly recommend giving this product a try.
