This aerator is sharp, both literally and physically. Be careful when assembling as the spikes are sharp and a little difficult to work around. But once assembled it is quite the little powerhouse. The pouch makes adding weight easy and mess free. I found that a mixture of rocks and sand works best. If you have sufficient weight and pre-water the ground surface, this aerator will help you get your lawn ready for the summer.

I recently purchased this product and used it for the first time and I was not pleased with it. I followed instructions as to putting either sand or stone in the drum for weight purposes. I kept adding and removing to try and get it just right but to no avail. This device was hard to push and it did more destruction to my yard than what it was intended for. Money wasted and I wouldn’t recommend it. I put it in the back of my shed to be never used again. I may even try to sell it or just scrap it. If I had to describe it in one word it would be …..JUNK!!!

I'm not going to use this item. It came in a box and you have to build the whole item yourself. You even have to put on the spikes. Then, you have to fill a bag (it comes with the bag) with gravel or sand, and put it in the center of the aerator. The instructions say it will ideally weigh about 3.5 KG. I wish this just came with the gravel that it needed for the center of it. I just decided to go with a different tool rather than mess with this one. I'm disappointed with the setup of this one.

I've been around the block a few times, and I've seen my fair share of lawn tools, but the CRUDATE Lawn Aerator has really caught my eye. This 17-inch rolling wonder has made lawn care not just a chore, but a bit of a fun activity.First off, let's talk about the design. It's got this sturdy steel construction with nails that really get down into the soil, making it perfect for prepping new land for wildflowers or just giving your lawn that much-needed breath of fresh air. The handle is comfortable to grip, and the sandbag adds just the right amount of weight to make it effective without turning it into a workout session. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Isn't this just another aerator?" Well, here's where it gets interesting. Unlike some of the competitors, this one doesn't require you to bend over or stomp around in spiked shoes, which can be a backbreaker. With the CRUDATE, you just roll it over your lawn, and it does the work for you. Sure, it might not be as fast as some of the gas-powered behemoths, but for a homeowner like me, it's just the right balance of effort and efficiency.I used it to prep a patch of my yard for some wildflower seeds, and it was a breeze. The rolling action was smooth, and I could see the soil being aerated right before my eyes. It's not just about the looks; this tool genuinely helps in promoting a healthier lawn by allowing water, nutrients, and air to penetrate deeper into the soil. One thing to consider, though, is that if you've got a very large lawn, this might take a bit longer than using a powered aerator. But for me, with a medium-sized yard, it's perfect. It's like taking a leisurely stroll while doing something productive. In summary, the CRUDATE Lawn Aerator is a solid choice for anyone looking to improve their lawn's health without breaking their back or the bank. It's well-made, easy to use, and gives you that satisfying feeling of accomplishment when you see your lawn looking greener and more vibrant.

For some reason this came in over night so I feel obligated to write a review for it but it's still winter here so I wanted to make it clear that I haven't used it yet, this review is purely based on the quality of the product alone. It was relatively easy to put together, only 8 or 9 major pieces, and the total weight is about 13 lbs, so I think even without filling the roller it might be heavy enough for most lawns already but filling it up would no doubt make it much more efficient. The whole body is powder coated metal so the outside is more or less rust proof but if moisture gets on the inside then its hard to say. I have fairly excited to try this out the coming spring.
