These did not work for at all, she could not latch with them so I just bear the pain of her latching into me. I just use the case to carry my baby’s pacifier.

This is an essential when breastfeeding. Helps soothe nipples if they become raw, dry or cracked due to nursing.

The product itself is great, sticks to the breast nicely and has a wide base making it impossible for the baby to accidentally swallow!I bought it because my baby kept biting me, and this was able to protect me from him breaking the skin and causing nipple damage!

My doctor recommended I try these after many unsuccessful attempts to feed my newborn and it worked! Easy to clean, easy to use and baby didn’t fuss.

Is you are struggling with a shallow latch or fast flow and your little one won't stay on, definitely give these a try. They are very comfortable and easy to put on. Just fold the edges back and place it over. The silicone is very thin and fits well. These were great for helping me to heal so I could continue to breastfeed. Phasing them out was simple, just started with one feed a day without them and slowly increased. They did cause a bit of nipple confusion but that's because I had to use them 100% of the time for about 1 month. My baby is now 3 months and has a great latch, it's pain free and we are both happy during nursing sessions. I highly recommend these shields!

We’ve used four different brands of nipple shield in our breastfeeding journey. My son has a poor latch and spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the NICU, so we mostly bottlefeed but I wanted to have that bonding time of breastfeeding at least a couple times a day.In case there are others like me that are sitting through the options and trying to figure out what to use, I thought I’d leave this comparison review on all four listings. I hope it helps! So in order from best to worst nipple shields that we used:1- MAM (5 stars) We use MAM bottles, and this is really an easy transition for the kiddo. It stays on remarkably well, which is very important when the baby likes to grab it! Only downside is the sizes available — 17mm and 23mm. I’m a solid size 20. We use the 17 and it works fine, just a bit snug for me and a bit more difficult to put on. But the most important thing to me is that my son latches easily and it stays put, so this is the clear winner for me!2- Lansinoh (4 stars). The Lansinoh nipple shields are actually quite different from the other three we tried. They’re thicker for one, which does not feel great on the breast. I do love that they have a shallower nipple, so my nipple fills it almost entirely. My son latches very well to it, but because of the thicker base, it’s easier for him to pull off than the MAM shields (but does not fall off on its own like the Medela below). Still a great nipple shield that we continue to use!3- Medela (3 stars) This was the first shield that we tried together, in the NICU at the recommendation of one of the nurses. It works fine for us. I do like the thinness of this nipple shield; it feels the most natural of the four shields that we used. There’s really only one reason it’s not our favorite: the nipple sticks really far out so my nipple only fills it less than halfway when we’re taking a breather. That means it’s very easy for my son to pull off, and sometimes it even just falls off. Having to reattach it is frustrating for both of us!4- Purifyou (1 star) We bought this nipple shield at the same time as we got the MAM and Lansinoh ones so that we could try a few different brands. We couldn’t get it to stay put at all! Even though it’s supposedly the same size as the Medela and Lansinoh ones that we use successfully, it is way too big for my nipple and falls off constantly. My son had a harder time latching using this shield than he does without a shield.

Godsend. These have allowed me to breast feed my baby. She has a very tiny mouth and struggled to gets a good latch, causing me so much pain.I have tried Medela and MAM brand shields and these are my favourite. The holes are small and introduce less air into babies belly. They suction well and the case wel made.If your struggling with pain and getting a good latch go for these.

These have saved my breastfeeding journey.I tried for 4 weeks to breastfeed without them, and had continuous issues. Bleeding, scabbing, intense pain, just terrible. I had 2 lactation consults with no relief. It turns out, I have an over supply of milk combined with a very fast letdown and my infant was biting the nipple to slow the flow.I bought these shields at 3am while almost crying from the pain, and I'd go back and make myself buy these 3 weeks earlier if I could.I have been using them for 5 weeks now, and I am so grateful for them. It isn't fun to always have to clean them, have one handy, take one with me everywhere, etc. However, they're so cheap that I bought 3 sets (6 total) and that helps with these issues. My baby can no longer nurse without them, because they slow the milk flow enough that she's gotten used to it and now chokes on the fast flow if we go without the shield, so be aware that if you start using them it might be hard to stop.Mamas......... don't sit in pain. These saved my breastfeeding experience, and I truly enjoy it now. For me, the drawbacks of using these are so much more than worth it. Don't hesitate, if you're hurting and in need, to use these. At least for long enough to let your nipples heal while you get help from the experts. Throw out that mom guilt and the need to be "textbook, cookie cutter, perfect." You're still feeding your baby, and that's what important. These let me keep breastfeeding, saving that bonding time and extra benefit for my baby's health, when I'd have had to quit and do formula otherwise.Advice for sizing: I use a 21-22 mm flange size, and these 24 mm fit perfectly. They're soft, very flexible and comfortable, and are minimally intrusive during feeding. Very easy to clean, either with soap and water or boiling. They come with a carrying case, which is very handy.Good luck, ladies.

Was very helpful when I developed cracked nipples and had to effectively empty the breast which is best done while suckling rather than using pump. Baby easily adjusted to it and also again adjusted to the healed nipples.
