This assortment of 80 flap discs runs about 50 cents per disc. Dewalt flap discs, which many people consider the gold standard, are about $5 per disc. So these discs are about 10 times less than Dewalts. I tested these on tool steel and all grits, from 40 to 120 tool grit, by mirror polishing an axe head. Performance and longevity was good. My assessment is they last about half as long as a Dewalt disc so are great quality and value for money because they provide $2.50 in value for 50 cents. Will reorder as needed.

These are priced right but wear out faster than say a dewalt brand but its still cheaper and does the job

Pretty good selection, inexpensive for what you get, and effective. Admittedly, a star taken off for the fact that it does lose grit pretty quickly, which if you're not wearing proper safety equipment, can be an issue. Always remember to wear safety equipment with stuff like this.Anyways, I didn't have major issues with the flap disks, and they take material off pretty quickly! Keeping the right angle and consistent pressure helps to maintain the disk as well as get the job done quicker!

While they are low priced you need to be prepared for low quality as well. I have used 4 of the 36 grit wheels and within a few seconds parts became unglued. What ever glue compound they use to secure each little piece but it's not enough nor is useful. Next time I'll pay for better quality abrasive. (When chunks come flying off, you will have been warned)
