If you own a John Deere L110 lawn tractor, you may eventually encounter issues with the carburetor. I got my L110 for free from a friend who just wanted it gone and I knew that just replacing the carb woul cut out a big headache later. This is a quality part for the money. And is working great.

Installed this on a John Deere L110 with a Kohler CV491S and tried over time to adjust it but could not get it to run smoothly. It would always be hunting for fuel. I ended up rebuilding my original carb and it runs perfectly and unfortunately missed the return window. My guess is this is made to run on a lot of different engines and may or may not run on your particular engine.

This is the part I needed. Which is more than I can say for buying parts at some stores. Seems to be good quality, seals did not leak, mower started up and runs like a new one.

Installed the carb and the engine ran great. No adjustment needed. Gaskets fit perfect. Kohler Command 17.5 Hp. The 2 wire plug that comes with it can be plugged into the carb solenoid the wrong way so if the engine won't start and the solenoid gets hot unplug it and plug it in the other way. Hose clamps are too small to use with this carb. The fuel filter is not good don't use it or you will get trash in the carb. I did not try the spark plug. The fuel cut off valve is good for use on some engines. The carb and gaskets are well worth the price. I would buy it again.

So I used this carb on my John Deere L110 with the kohler 17.5hp engine (CV491) that i picked up from an estate sale and i clearly not been run in a few years. Once I figured out I had to remove the carb mounting pins by grabbing them with vice grips and twisting, everything went smoothly. You have to remove the carb before the linkages. If you do, you won't have to bend anything. The included fuel shutoff valve was a nice touch too since my mower didn't have one. The hose clamps were a tad smaller than the stock ones but I made them work. Otherwise, it all went together smoothly and fired right up.
