Probably works great for cats but not for small tortoises. Couldn't find anything else even close to fitting her. This kinda did fit a bit, but she got out of it. Back to supervised outside time...

I bought this harness for my toy poodle. He weighs about 10 1/2 pounds and he has a 16 inch girth. This harness was too big so I returned it and I am ordering the small. I did like it, though it is great for a basic harness.

So simple to use. A 1 piece,that goes over the head, thentucked under the right leg,then clipped under the left.Fits my dog perfectly snug enoughso he probably won't be able to chewat it, but leaves enough room to leavesome fingers for breathing.It's important (at least for me) to notdeal with the types of harnesses thateither they step into & keep movingor have pieces that come off. Thebuckles themselves are big enoughnot to slip through the loops, but theyalso have an extra piece to help holdthem away.

The harness seemed sturdy and of good quality. The red color was nice. However it was way too bulky for my chihuahua who weighs 11 lb. Size wise it could be adjusted to fit her, but the straps are too wide and stiff, and the buckles too many and big. So I guess it depends on the dog's body and shape. Also to return it took many phone calls and messages back and forth, despite being listed with "free returns for any reason".

Really good harness, the color is exactly the shade of yellow I wanted and exactly as shown! I didn’t want a flashy yellow and it’s perfect. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is the part where the ring is is not sown to the other part so it can slide off on the side instead of staying put in the middle of my dog’s shoulders. But still great, especially for the price!

At first I hated it as the strap between the Neck & Chest was just too short.Then I looked at the picture showing the "neck strap" really isn't a neck strap - it sits low on the chest, in front of the shoulders and front legs. Knowing this, I was able to make it work with my Boston Terrier.I prefer clips on both sides for easy on & easy off - but at least my pup isn't trying to avoid me putting this on him. The other harness that I prefer is just too hot for right now and this is a good weight for a summer harness. So I just have to pull one leg into the straps and then use the clasp.As another reviewer stated - on the first use, the clasp is near impossible to open. But it does get easier after that first try and at least it doesn't open while we are walking. So, better to be a tighter clasp than too loose.Overall, a good harness for my summer needs.

My puppy definitely seems very comfortable in this harness, and she has like 5... I think this one she doesn't mind as much others that make her itchy. It has softer feeling material than the others. The color is very accurate to the picture.

Nice thick straps, fastener is strong plastic, and adjusts a lot. Good for large breed, but can be adjusted to fit from 6months on. Maybe 25lbs to 90lbs.
