It's good. Just very low leverage / pressing force. With approximately a 1:1 ratio of handle to jaws it just doesn't grip that nice.Instead I recommend the 08 26 185 that has so much more power with the pivot moved forwards. Far more versatile. Plus more aggressive teeth in the lower part of the jaws (tip teeth feel the same) and a wire pulling notch and three-point grip for grabbing thin flat surfaces. But obviously if this style is what you need/prefer then yeah it's great. Better than the NWS I tried first that has a very stiff movement. I use these long tip ones on my sewing desk and the more aggressive one for everything else. And of course there's lots of other great stuff Knipex make.Just like most Knipex the fit and finish is great. Nice smooth movement. Very little play in the pivot. No tightness except a tiny bit when open right at the very largest.Just like many tools it might get surface rust. It is not chromed. You can see the color difference in the photos. Oil regularly if needed.

Comfortable grip, quality fit and finish, can’t find any fault at all.I went with ~6” model for more compact and lighter while carry in my holster.

Every single electrician should have a pair. For the price you can’t go wrong. I’ll use them for digging in cabinets or boxes where I don’t want my fingers but they aren’t limited to hot work. The nose on them is small enough you can use for fishing wires. (For example, most time you can’t push any wire through a sealtight 90* but if you manage to get the wire to the connector these will allow you to grab the head of the wire.)

Decided to replace capacitor in a/c and wanted the protection of insulated pliers just in case and they worked great - definitely worth the price, very high quality and those systems are 240V so best to be careful

El material, los acabados, la precisión, una herramienta lijera. Vale la pena su precio

Buenas a secas, aunque de buena calidad no son lo que esperaba, no son las cromadas que al parecer son las que yo queria

tips come together well and straight/flush. I don't use it for high voltage (what it's intended for) but use it around the 120v stuff all the time without a problem. High quality unit and very good ergonomics for extended use. Takes up a lot of space in the toolbag though so be give it it's own bag slot.

A very nice needle nose pliers, but be aware that these are not Chrome plated and are a plain tool finish. I looked it up on the Knipex website and oddly this version is not listed as chrome plated for the North American market. Perhaps there was past issues with chrome chipping off into circuits (?). Otherwise they are very well made with just the right amount of slip in the joint without any play or being too tight. The handles are a joy to hold and very comfortable. I prefer the Knipex high voltage handles to the comfort grip versions in terms of ergonomics , but that's just my preference.

If you know a good tool when u use it KNIPEX is the Best. Top of the line for hvac elec work. I got jolted on a job and purchased this for safety as well as just the feel and economics of the tool. Have several other Knipix tools. I recommend the 200mm(8") angled side cutter and ther pliers(water pump pliers) theres nothing better in my experience. Klien is nice and others but they r all 2nd to KNIPEX. Made in Germany.

I bought these to replace a pair of very serviceable Klein long nose pliers with a slightly fatter tip. I figured I could make better loops around screw terminals when working on live circuits, because of the very fine tips and beefier handle insulation. (I know, I know - bad thing to be doing!)Haven't done any live wiring since I bought these, but found them very useful for the most unexpected purposes at home.First item was a glider/rocker chair with a 5/8" nut that had worked loose and was really hard to reach. No tool (of the many) that I own could get in there to tighten it up. These pliers, with their incredibly thin tips and amazingly strong steel could do it.The second item was a pair of reading glasses with loose temple pieces that kept slipping off my face. I needed to bend them inward just a bit, but right near the hinge. These pliers and a tiny piece of my business card (to avoid scratches) handled it with aplomb. Then, there was the toilet tank with the broken lift chain. Pliers to the rescue again. They are long, they are strong, they are thin, they are versatile, they are brightly colored (therefore less losable). My advice is - buy them before you need them and be prepared for the unexpected. They are a tad pricey. But, then again, you'll be able to bequeath them to your heirs.
