Like the flexibility of the mat but numbers are really hard to see on the mat. I took a permanent marker make it more user friendly and see measurements

Why has silicon beading boards not been a thing before now? Sooooo much better than felt or wood! It's fantastic, except for three things:1) The color is nice, but it makes it hard to see the REAL color of the beads — especially green ones. Gray or tan would be more practical.2) Because it's flexible and has no cover, it's not very portable.3) I wish there were other sizes.I'm contacting the manufacturer about these things, and if they make some smaller sizes in a neutral color, I will 1000% buy it, and figure out how to add my own cover if they don't add that.

This is a great Bead Board for Jewelry Making. I use it for necklaces and love that it has a grooved area to "test" out the layout of the beads, while still able to scoop the beads out to trade them around. Here in the USA, we speak of jewelry lengths in inches, but we use metric for bead size and this is reflected on the mat, which is very helpful when stringing a size gradation.I like that it has several box areas up at the top, so one may put boxes of seed beads along there. The bracelet area is conveniently sized for children, men and women.I recommend this beading mat!

I've had this board a while and I love it. It is wide enough for several projects and it is so easy to clean. It works great for wire straightening too. Good purchase!

This mat (called a bead board) turned out to be a godsend. When working with clay beads, I found out that working with the long, j-shaped beading needles was vital for stringing and planning out small projects, but I was still left at a loss when it came to longer or more complex projects. These beads don't exactly sit up easily on their ends, and I didn't have any existing trays with channels in them to sort the beads myself. Aside from not doing much beading with this kind of beads before this point, I just didn't have the space to store a proper tray. Enter, this mat: which is actually better than a standard beading tray, anyway, because it rolls up for easy storage! Or, you can slide a piece of cardboard from an Amazon box underneath it to turn it into a regular tray. Whatever floats your boat.I still measure the length of what I want to make manually rather than relying upon the preset sizes offered in the channels of this mat, but they do make a good starting point for guesstimates when I'm first laying out ideas. They're the best feature of this mat, honestly: not only can I plan out a single piece of jewelry in just the length I need, but I could probably plan out a whole jewelry set at once and be able to preview how all of the pieces would look together! I would like to be clear: this won't make working with the beads any easier, especially if you have manual dexterity issues, but it will make plotting patterns out -much- easier. It's perfect for pattern making.The neutral grey color is a nice touch, too, since it means I'll be getting truer look at how the colors of the clay beads will look together without the distraction that a colored mat would inevitably create. By the time I'm writing this review, I see that they do offer colored mats, so I'm glad I got the grey one when I could!!Now, I have bottles for my chosen bead colors for any specific project, but it IS nice to see the channels at the top of the mat for storing the individual colors of beads you're currently using. Honestly, I'll probably use those when I switch to silicone, glass, or gemstone beads: right now, I'm using polymer clay beads (discs) so I can get away with using my small bottles for right now, and they don't have a tendency to roll away like the other beads do. For purely round beads, those spaces are a must!If you're going to be working with moderately-sized beads at all, I really recommend this mat! Not seed beads -- for those, you'd need a different mat with much smaller channels. But, this works for just about everything else!

So this bead mat is absolutely the bees knees!!! I've got to say I've been looking at these items like these for the longest of times but knowing me, and trust me, i would end up crushing the board or bending it jamming it into some shelf when not using.but THISS ONE!!!?? I will not have that issue.....why???cuz its silicone, its bendable, its even larger then those other mats... cuz you know...,. they're hard they have their little imitation felt on it and you know if you twisted the wrong way. Or whatnot it's gonna break on you!! --sad panda face--- Is like my resin molds I use.... perfect for clutz's like me... its unbreakable... well.. i suppose you could like slice it up... but that would be deliberate.... i mean.. you cant destroy this thing by being clumsy with it. :) like I said. PERFECTit's got the give it's got the bend-ability it's easy to store and it's actually bigger than the other bead mats that I've seeAnd I definitely do not regret getting this for my craft room and I think you should do
