I bought this for binding for place mats. But the width is so inconsistent that it was very difficult to stitch without missing either the front or back. It also Freya guite easily.

This is not a bias tape that should have some stretch in the tape. Disappointed so I just went ahead and make my own bias tape to use.

I used to be able to sew ANYTHING. But I've gotten rusty. REALLY rusty. Finally brushed off my skills to make my daughter a 1950's style dress, petticoat, and capelet look jacket for her Sweetheart's dance at high school.I was using silk dupioni, chiffon, organza... all fabrics that can be a mess of fraying and itchy seams.I got this large spool of black satin bias tape and used it EVERYWHERE. It made smooth encased seams and hems that were tidy, smooth, encased, and no fraying to deal with! I was dreading hemming the double full circle skirt and especially that sheer black chiffon circle-hemmed jacket. This bias tape made it a cinch, though. It saved me hours of french seaming and baby-roll hemming and my daughter was very happy with the smooth feel of the inside of the whole outfit.

This tape is not cut on the bias, therefore it will not stretch even slightly to fit a curve.

The quality is so bad, in parts it's useless, be careful, don't buy it! So bad quality!

Not overly shiney. Used for inside hems then blind hem. Would buy again.

Shreds when opening the folds spare yourself the headache don’t get this.
