I have a stick in my hydroponic garden and in my two water bottles. One for work and one for home. I have hard water so it tastes funky sometimes. This takes that funk away quickly and doesn't upset my stomach like some purifiers do. It's great!They are fragile so be careful (don't be like me and drop it from the cupboard or it will break). The good news is they are still effective after broken so I just use the two pieces in my cup.

These sticks literally do nothing to the water. If anything, they make the water taste like it went bad if you leave it for a couple days. It only tasted like filtered water the first time I used it. I try to sanitize with boiling water for the smell and safety. My partner also said it looks like a turd in my water bottle.

We have been using Kishu charcoal for over two years with excellent results. In addition to providing clean drinking water, when they are retired we use them in our refrigerator to control odors. Highly recommended!
