I was looking for lawn aerator so I ordered this tool. The package includes aerator assembly parts, gloves ,a bag and an instruction manual. It is easy to assemble. It is sturdy and well made. Just fill the bag with rocks and place it inside the spike roller. It has a non-slip rubber handle. The spikes are sharp. They work well on the lawn. It is good during spring and fall for seeding. It is easy to use. As the spikes are sharp you need to be careful while using the same as well as take out them when not in use. I wish it would have come with some protective guards for the spike to store them when not in use.

The KELIXU Lawn Aerator Tool, 17” Manual Lawn Aerators Roller, Heavy Duty Rolling Lawn Aerator Tool works very well but, watering the lawn before use is critical for the best and most consistent results. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the weakness of its 3-section handle. The handle can be reinforced easily enough but as it comes it's too flimsy. Assembly of this tool is not difficult; it's just time consuming and takes about an hour using the included wrenches. The instructions are straight-forward well-presented diagrams. All parts and hardware are very well labeled for easy identification. Half of the assembly time is unwrapping all of the parts from the taped bubble wrap. Of all the aeration tools and methods I've tried this is absolutely the best. My lawn is primarily hard clay soil that can be difficult to work. I filled the spiked cylinder with river rock for the dead weight needed and it was a perfect amount of weight. With the ground softened by watering, I only had to roll the tool over the ground and the spikes did their job. There was no need to push hard on the handle (which I don't recommend) and the spikes penetrated easily on their own. One of the things I really liked is that the spikes did not grab the soil and have to be cleaned to continue. That has been the biggest problem with other tools as they would pull up chunks of soil, leave divets in my lawn and cause that tool to be cleaned before continuing. I'm extremely satisfied with the performance of the KELIXU Lawn Aerator Tool and consider it an excellent value overall!

My husband put this together for me. He was frustrated because at first he had the screws wrong. Once he figured that out putting it together was relatively easy. Don't be like him. Read the instructions and don't try to figure it out just by staring at it. It's a lot heavier than I thought it was going to be and the spikes are very sharp. My only complaint is I wish that I didn't have to fill the center with rocks to make it heavier. I saw another one built much heavier so you don't have to fill it with rocks or sand. That's the one thing I would change about this if I could. I do not feel like going around my yard and finding random rocks to fill this thing up with and I'm not going to purchase sand. But I'm going to have to do one or the other. Otherwise it's going to be a good yard tool for us. This is our second spring/summer season in this house and we haven't aerated the lawn yet so we're looking forward to using this. I'm actually going to go over a softer spot in the backyard and drop some wildflower seeds into the holes. So I've actually found a couple of purposes for it 👍

Good little aerator for smaller spots that need new seeding. Does what it say it would. Grass became thicker and greener. Easy to store.

I did a test pun with this product today. I filled the bag with sand and put it in the chamber before I started. Put some pretty nice holes in my lawn which will make it the perfect tool before I do my spring seeding. Please be careful with this, it is no toy and you can seriously hurt yourself when picking this up to put it away. You can also do damage to trees and plants if not careful. Not trying to scare anyone but this is one serous tool and it is great as what it is intended for. Highly recommend getting this over a manual step aerator any day.
