I purchased this router bit for a specific pattern I needed on some jewelry boxes I’m making. Did a great job with no burn marks or chipping.I would definitely recommend.

I spent the better part of last week trying to get the 'wrong tools' to do the job that this one does with ease. I love this bit!I am attaching an 5 ft, 2x6 redwood slab to a round post. In so that I will attached a wooden gate to it. There are a lot of mistakes to be made, and I have a pretty good idea of most of them. Cutting a wide round groove in a piece of lumber seems like it should not have been as difficult as I was making it.A neighbor of mine, who is an old cabinet maker stopped by to say hello and rest for a minute with his dog. He saw what I was trying to do, and told me, "You need a cove bit to do that right". Well, hell, why didn't I think of that?" Probably because the old cabinetmaker is almost 90 years old, and has forgotten more than I know about woodworking. He was right, and when I finally found and ordered this bit all my fabrication troubles were solved.Any craftsman or DIYer knows the difference it makes using the right tool for the job. This is that tool! I can't stress enough about how problems simply disappear when using the proper equipment. I thank God for the old cabinetmaker that just happened to stopped by to rest!!5 stars gentlemen!

Pros:Cuts cleanHolds edgeCons:Cuts approx 60 linear feet before snapping off.30 day warranty (90 would be nice)I’m no router bit expert, but this is disappointing. I need another to finish my project and my table doesn’t allow me to set the bit further down. I’ll be sure to feed even slower than before, which didn’t seem fast, but obviously was too fast. I’m of half a mind that it’s defective, and half that I must have abused it. Can’t say.
