My previous pair lasted a little over a year. I’m a material handler for a major utility company. I stand, walk, climb, lift, drive heavy equipment all day long. They are comfortable right out of the box. Zero break-in required. I’ve worn Wolverine, Ariat, Timberland, and Danner. In my opinion Keen is better than all of them. These are very well made (quality tread, stitching, leather) comfortable and wear extremely well. I find them true to size. I do remove the insole it comes with and add my orthotic insoles. The boot accommodates them with no problem.

I highly recommended anyone to buy the Cincinnati 6 inch composite toe work boots. Love the wide toe box which give my toes plenty of wiggle room. I have issues with my feet which requires me to buy new inserts for any pair of new shoes I purchace. But theses boots it did not require for me to buy a new set because they are very comfortable to walk and stand on for a very long period of time. If you need a great pair of boots, then I suggest you buy yourself a pair of keen Cincinnati 6 inch boot. Five out of five stars.

Good boot for the price. Seems tough and reliable. Average comfort. Not a pretty boot and a little heavy but gets the job done.

Full disclosure, I bought these because they were on huge sale. I should have known better when you’re saving $100 on a pair of boots. They do seem like a high quality shoe, reasonably comfortable, waterproof, slip resistant, etc. Sole is not too aggressive, which I prefer. But man, they are clucky. Like, it’s really harder to walk in them. I’ve work boots every day for 50+ years, some are better, some are worse, and they all wear out and you move on. Lots of times you buy the same boot over again. Not this time. It’s is the first pair of Keens I’ve ever owned and based on this experience probably the last.

I never had a pair, and actually thought they were funky. I went to my local workwear store and the only boots they had that I even remotely liked were the San Jose’s. I’ve had that pair for 15+ months as a machinist. I get oil, coolants, metal chips, hot shavings, everything on them. They are the soft toe though, and my new job keeps bugging me about a safety toe, so I decided to try the Cincinnati. For a hard toe boot they are light. Obviously not like the SJ’s, but still light. The Cincinnati’s look good new, but way better after I got some mink oil on them. I’ve only worn them once, and they are fairly comfortable. Again, the San Jose is like a moccasin, and I was in them 40+ hours a week at school and work. They lasted and I’d continue those if I was allowed, but the Cincinnati will do great I am sure. I’ll update this in a year, or sooner if the boot loses any stitching, tears, or if a sole comes off. If this review is still here, the boots are still kickin. I really do love Keen boots now.5 Month Update: Been wearing these everyday for almost 6 months now doing 4/10’s. No signs of wear except the color is dark from shop gunk. I still love them. Even more now that they’re more broke in, which they were good brand new. Can’t say enough about them. Keen are my favorite work boots. I think they’re USA built from foreign materials. Hopefully that all comes home soon! The last pic is them now, 13 March 2025.

Having worn these quite a bit since I purchased them, I’d say these Keen’s are decent boots but they have issues.Pros:I think they look great and the treads provide decent traction and are fairly nonslip. They are comfortable to stand in and my feet never felt fatigued at the end of the day. carbon fiber toe holds up to impacts well and your toes aren’t frozen at the end of the day like with steel toed boots.Cons:The fact the way they are stitched together makes the edges of the tongue dig into your ankle is my major gripe. It’s not exactly painful just annoying.Mine started to develop a squeak while walking which basically went away after applying a copious amount of gold bond to the underside of the insole. They are fairly heavy which can be an issue if you are moving around a lot or climbing up/down ladders all day. Finally, I wish there was just a little more room in the toe box to account for the carbon fiber toe.

This is one of the most comfortable workboots I've owned. I walk in concrete/hard surface 8-10hrs a day. My feet and back don't get sore.
